Quality Control Delays!!

I’ve got deposits at two different dealerships, in two different states for Heritage Blue, Land Cruiser trim level, premium package with 20” wheels.

Got a call from both dealerships stating my VIN was “randomly” selected for quality control.

Coincidence? I will not be playing the lottery today…

Update: I just noticed that my LC now has a window sticker for the first time. Does this mean that it is on the transport to the dealership?
Just got a text from my dealer that my LC is set to “clear customs” today. At the same time I noticed the delivery window on the Toyota site narrowed by a few days. The dealer says it will be 3-4 weeks from this point.

The nightmare of waiting is finally over ( :ROFLMAO: ), picked her up yesterday, 7 hour drive home from New Jersey to Virginia! Blue w/ Java Interior (& Premium Package)

Initial Deposit: April 5th 2024 / Build Date: April 15th 2024 / Arrival @ Dealer: July 15th 2024

Just a little over 3 months of waiting. I'm starting to see unsold LC's show up at dealerships so I think just us "early adopters" or picky enthusiasts will have to wait this long.

I picked up my vehicle yesterday after one of the weirdest buying experiences I've ever had. Nevertheless, it's in my garage.

My other vehicle is the LX 600 F-Sport (not impacted by the engine recalls) which I just don't have the heart to take on the trails yet, so my driving impressions are in direct comparison to that vehicle.

I drove the vehicle about 50 miles in both city and Los Angeles rush hour traffic. I'm happy to say I got 20.6 MPG.

The vehicle is very smooth, and has enough torque to help you forget it's a 4 cylinder. It feels like a flagship vehicle. No rattles, fine finishes and a well proportioned cabin. The storage space is a bit tight, which I think is a Toyota thing. My LX has a similar limitation. The coolbox center console is a bit bigger in the 600.

My vehicle was supposed to come fitted with a roof rack. I was surprised it didn't. The dealership adjusted the price for me after calling the port. My impression was the port is suffering from supply chain issues.

I did get all weather floor mats which was not on the sticker in addition to the standard carpet floor mats. I also got the cargo mat, the smaller tow hitch cover and the cargo net.

The app initially showed the VSC traction control fault some members reported seeing, but when I closed the app and restarted it, it was gone. There wasn't an alert on the dash.

I had to run a few errands on the way home and had a lot of people stop me in the parking lot. This car gets more attention than other vehicles I have owned.

I'm thinking of tinting the windows a bit, and getting tires, skid plates and other goodies in the months to come.

Well after waiting 8 months since my first deposit, I finally found one matching my specs and to my surprise it was available. Drove 4 hours to get it. I have a few others reserved at other dealers but was tired of waiting and saw this one and jumped on it! If anyone in the Lower Michigan or Chicago area are looking for a LC premium in the traildust with 20" wheels I may be able to let you take my spot (one coming anyday now, one coming by the end of the month and one coming early to mid August).

Love the vehicle so far. Getting the front side windows tinted today before I surprise the wife with her new ride!!!

Pretty sure mine got put on a truck last night. Hoping for it to be ready some time between now and Saturday.

At least for my region and dealer, once it's sitting at port and the dates go away it seems to mean it was loaded on a truck and will be at the dealer in the next day or two.

Good morning Land Cruiser Fans. Looks like the FE I put a deposit on last summer is finally out of quality hold and was last sighted in Montana on the BNSF train. My dealer GM (I only buy cars from the GM) showed me the update. Once the train reaches Kansas City, it is just a day away from delivery to the dealership. Looks like after nearly one year of waiting, our FE LC in Meteor Shower is in sight. I do hope that Toyota will some day release what caused the hold up. Ours has been sitting in Portland since the first week of April. Good luck to all. Dr. M

Just had to bail on my reserved LC Prem wind chill pearl/java. Relocating and cannot pick it up within required window.

It’s now available in N Chicago area. It’s on a train and scheduled to be delivered between this week and 8/1/24. Pm if you want dealer and salesman details.
