Quality Control Delays!!

I’ve got deposits at two different dealerships, in two different states for Heritage Blue, Land Cruiser trim level, premium package with 20” wheels.

Got a call from both dealerships stating my VIN was “randomly” selected for quality control.

Coincidence? I will not be playing the lottery today…

Got the call today. Went and took it out for 6 miles or so. Pick it up Friday. FWIW before resetting it was at 6 mpg with 1 mile. Got 19 after resetting with just over 6 miles on it.

This morning I saw the Land Cruiser I’m wanting (LC Premium in Windchill w/java leather and 18" wheels) but it was allocated to a different dealership in my area.

The dealership we use called me this evening with their usual allocation update but it wasn’t the specific ext/int color combo I was wanting. I told them I saw that other dealership was allocated what I was looking for. He said give him a few minutes and he would call me back. 5 minutes later he called and said they’d contacted the other dealer and swapped allocations with them. My Land Cruiser comes in a month! SO psyched. Now to find a buyer for my '15 TRD Pro 4Runner!

I have two Heritage Blue LCs on order at two different dealerships. One has been on QC hold, and i just got a text that the other arrives at port tomorrow and should be at the dealership next week.

Blue w/ Brown Interior (& Premium Package) showed up at my local dealer yesterday. Already sold to someone else, not mine :cry: . But they let me sit inside which was really cool (this thing is Lexus quality, compared to the GX 550).

I was investigating the sunroof, didn't look tampered with at all, so maybe it was a light inspection, no scuffs, marks, or signs damage. This thing was built like a tank, but those leather seats are so nice. Java Brown is a no brainer.

Was the QC Hold really about the sunroof? I dunno man (let your conspiracies run wild).

Really like the look of those 20" wheels. Are there any folks upgrading the tire size a little bigger and getting rid of the stock tires that come with the 20" wheels?
 
My LC (LC trim with PP and roof rack) was expected at the dealership on 7/5. On 7/3, I received the dreaded call that it was put on QC hold. Anyone have an idea hold long the holds are taking now? I’m hoping it’s not the month(s) long hold that some of the early reserve holders had.

Dealership is in NY, so I assume the hold is at Newark port.
 
Mine is at the Portland port, had a delivery ETA of 7/5 - 7/13, but now it’s 7/10 - 7/18. Not sure if they’re delayed getting them all on trucks/trains.

I received a similar update today. It was expected between 7/4 - 7/6, but now expected between 7/8 - 7/10. Reason given was all the truck drivers take off for the holiday. 🤷‍♂️

Mine is still in Newark as well. It was supposed to arrive on 7/2. It has now twice slipped and now shows 7/8-7/10 but still has no window sticker... Waiting patiently (NOT)

How do you find the window sticker? (I’m very new here.)
 
I am in disbelief after arriving in port April 9th my Heritage Blue FE is supposed to be arriving monday after sitting at the end of the train tracks for weeks. Time to get to work on a 3d printed option to replace the trailer hitch diaper.

Well things changed, the same dealer who was going to have my LC next week had one that matched my build exactly that someone backed out of, so I’m at the dealership picking it up now!

the only difference is that it has the 18” wheels instead of the 20s, which makes it even better.

My dates have changed 3 times in the last week. OG estimate after hold release was 7/1-7/6 ... that changed to 7/5-7/10 and now it says 7/7-7/12, its frustrating (I feel your pain). My sales guy said he think it's just truck drivers & port workers taking off the 4th weekend, which I do believe.

Ff it keeps doing this next week tho, I'm going to look into another option.
 
Salesman just texted me the new ETA window for my LC Premium wind chill pearl java interior and it’s now 7/8 - 7/12!!! Looks like it should arrive next week. Hopefully the next text I get from my salesman is a pic of it being unloaded off the truck.
