Not trying to start a political debate, more of an FYI. Saw today that 25% tariffs were announced for any vehicle made outside of the United States, slated to take effect on April 2 and collections slated to start on April 3. It will be interesting to see how much of the tariff Toyota absorbs vs how much is passed on to the customer, if you are in the market might not be a bad time to grab one in the next week if you find what you like.

I knew this was coming. I picked up the 1958 two weeks after the elections. I was like this could end up being like buying some stocks low.

A BMW X5 made in South Carolina won't take a hit. This means that sadly if this tariff game stays on, our beloved Tahara made cars will either cost a lot more or get built in North America.

Still worth the money over the US junk. I would pay the premium if i did not already have one that I am very pleased with and proud to own.

I wish you all luck, but providing money down may not lock in the OTD price, just the dealers contributions to the out the door price.

They will want to adjust MSRP at delivery. I put money down in February and took delivery a couple weeks ago, but they explicitly called out that the final delivery price would track MSRP up or down as that was “out of the dealerships control”.

Best of luck! I hope you get your rides unadulterated!

Good luck, I put my deposit down in Feb, dealer said the car will be here first week of March. I took delivery on March 20.

I bought mine beginning of February. Tariffs were one of my concerns then, and the reason I made my purchase. It’s two months into this administration and we will all pay for it, red or blue. LC and GX owners are fortunate to be able to afford these vehicles, esp as second and third “toys”, with all our added goodies. We won’t feel it as much as those less fortunate, with less means. Please be kind and understanding to each other. 2 cents.
