🛠️ What Have You Done To Your LC250 Today?

All right guys, here’s a few pics, and I put more onto the build page… not sure if my build warrants the same effort of EOD guy, but if anybody wants more, just let me know! Cheers!
Looks great.
Where did you get those Velcro attachments for the first aid kit?

What power source did you connect the lights to?
Rear battery. Just drop down the wires from the plate, through bottle Jack compartment and rear battery is right there ;)
Someone taps the wires to other power sources, but I don’t want that.

On my old 4runner, I didn't really have an overall lighting plan and just added stuff as needed. It became a really bad mess of wires....

This time, going to start it off right. Cali Raised switch panel, good price and fits just right

Very interested in outcomes here! (Mostly RE: Deadening, but also speakers tbh!)
I had this done and then went out of town for week. So, the verdict is is a noticeable improvement.

The outside noise is noticeably less, especially coming from the floor pan. You still get pillar noise at highway speed (especially into the winter winds lately), but it is a much quieter vehicle under 45-50mp.

On the speaker front, I had to tinker with the settings for a few days. I wasn't impressed at first with the vocals, and the highs were really high (cymbals and such). Not sure if there was a slight break-in on the speakers, or whether I just had to adjust. The end result was putting the audio settings on surround, adjusting the treble/bass a little and then centering the speakers on the X (centered) instead of having them forward of the front headrest (which they were prior). I was getting too much from the windshield, and once I balanced that a bit, it's great. It helps to source some better audio tracks while doing this.

I do think a small amp would make things nicer. I still listen to music at around 25-35 (sound level). With the deadening, it is much clearer now. Bass is as much as you want. A bit of extra punch wouldn't hurt.

The Focals are great. It looks like the front left one is slightly larger than the hole though. There's a little swell on the grate (probably pushing it up a bit). I can only notice it because someone mentioned it before. I don't need a sub replacement with these speakers. No rattles, no distortion and plenty of highs and lows.

The JBLs are pretty trash, even in an FE. Pretty much plastic, but they didn't sound horrible.

Some new mods:
-cargo lights from obisan3d. I love them, truly lights up the cargo space thoroughly, and the fitment of the panel is perfect, looks absolutely OEM. Kudos obisan3d!
- grill running lights, I don’t remember who makes them but if anybody cares I can search through emails and figure it out. They’re definitely a different color amber than my light bar and fog lights but I personally like the contrast. They also attach to the front of the grill rather than behind, so they stick out about half an inch but again, I don’t care. I can see where others would prefer it behind the grill. Anyway, that’s it for now, still waiting on roof rack and fog light upgrade.
Ps- sorry about the light glare in the pic

is the light bar for off road use only?

Today I finished installing new center caps on my wheels. These new ones with terrain contours add 15 Overlanding™ points per wheel, and if you happen to be in the location that the terrain contours are modeled after, they add 300 Navigation Points.

It’s honestly amazing I’ve been able to drive this long without them.

Before (if your eyes can handle it):

After (but I cannot be blamed for the stirring in your loins):

🤬 just realized they’re not aligned with the bolts.
