New from UK

Welcome Jimbo - 750k miles in LC’s that’s impressive. We’ve had one 120 series, three 150 series and a 250 Invincible due in early December - with a tow bar….maybe.
Between the two of us that’s over a million miles without a single hiccup, I wonder what the stats are for Land Rover Discoveries or Range Rovers??!!😂😂

What do you think about the engine in the 250? Same power plant as the last 150 but hopefully they are getting a bit more out of i??
It is considerably faster and has much more low down torque than our 15 and 17 plate 150 series but these were the 173 bhp the later ones were 200 hp so I couldn’t compare. I can say the chassis is greatly improved the scuttle shake of the old model has gone and they are much quieter inside I would also, say it handles and rides better than my wife’s 150 which is on air suspension. The gear box which was always the most annoying part of both the 120 and 150 series is now very good and doesn’t overrun like the old one. It seems to regen the dpf about every 100 miles .whilst I have this on tractors I have never had it on a car so I’m not sure if that’s usual. Perhaps this is passive regeneration which is taking advantage of the high engine temp? I ran it up to Cheltenham and back today and it averaged 30mpg, pretty good as I had to hunt round lanes as the M5 was buggered again!

That’s good. I’ve not heard of needing a secondary immobiliser before. I thought that a tracker would be the next stage in security. I would be interested in what type of immobiliser they require. Would a simple hidden isolation switch suffice?
Sometimes the simple isolation switch is best cannot be detected with a lap top but the vehicles are very complicated electrics wise where / what would it isolate ?

Aaah mines doing a DPF regen about every 100 miles I told the Dealership when they had it in but seem to have ignored me /it ?? interesting is it something they cannot fix / answer ??

Are the BFG KO3’s in the UK yet ? Seem to be still KO2

What size are you going with ? 265 70 18 (ie same as stock) or maybe 265 65 18 (to allow for the greater degree of nobbliness)

Looks good
Can everyone who is having there tow bar fitted by the dealer please report these things i,m having problems with mine I was told the electrics are plug and play but its way more complicated than just pluging in !!!
Can you please tell me ---
1/ When the trailer is attached and put into REVERSE does the rear sensors (alsorts) reversing anti collision breaking / rear beepers alsorts etc DISABLE ?
2/ When indicating do you hear a buzzer at the rear should be inside the OSR Quarter panel trim ?
3/ Is there an indication on the dash that you have a trailer attached ? in the US they show a big picture of your car and trailer on the dash see TRD JON on you tube towing
4/ Does the dealer have to code inn the electrics to the car ?? even though it states PLUG AND PLAY ??
All these questions will be a massive help to me as I fitted my own tow bar and electrics all bought from the dealer OE stuff becase I fitted it they are to be polite not interested even though I have just spent £80k with them not helpfull in fact quite the opposite but then again I have forgotten we are the chosen few and should be gratefull !!! its been a very strange buying proccess to say the least
Please once again report on your tow bar stuff
Cheers Dave

Is the requirement for a second immobiliser due to your location or the fact that the Toyota fitted one doesn’t match Thatchams requirements ?
