New from UK

Just having a catch up on all the posts after 6 days in the field over last two weeks and wishing my Invincible had been delivered as whilst the 20 yr old Defender was great off road with its Grabber AT3โ€™s, I donโ€™t recommend driving from deepest Dorset to East Anglia when youโ€™re tired after two days (& nights!!) outโ€ฆโ€ฆ. Osteopath needed!! ๐Ÿ˜‚ Would never have sold the previous LC had I known how long the wait would have been but nearly there now.
I guess the one at Bromsgrove is the grey Iโ€™ll be getting not that I have been given any specs or shown the colour over my 16 month wait! Looks good though.

Dave - Iโ€™m sorry to hear that you will be selling yours so soon.

AC seems fine to me

I donโ€™t like the battery hump and not excited by current generation hybrids and EVs but each to their own

They are bound to solve the battery efficiency challenge and manage to produce longer lasting , faster charging, smaller cells that do not require so much heavy cooling equipment and offer greater range but as we stand in 2024 itโ€™s at an early stage and I will wait for later evolutions
Completely agree. The space the battery takes would be a deal breaker for me and I would be worrying about the tech changing too quickly and what that would mean for residuals.
With the kids now getting towards the end of school, a 5 seat option with even more boot space would definitely be a consideration. I imagine that option will come if and when they start releasing the lower grade/spec models in the future.

At long last - I picked up my Invincible yesterday and it was definitely worth the wait! I was still having a debate with myself up until yesterday whether I had made the right decision to sell my Shogun as I've had it for 10 years and it has been a brilliant vehicle. The doubts faded away as soon as I saw the car on the forecourt - it looked stunning! I haven't driven very far yet but on the journeys that I did make yesterday it was just sooo comfortable. A few people have said that the head-up display seems to be out of focus on their vehicles but mine is absolutely sharp although having never seen a HUD before it is slightly strange to see a display that appears to be at the end of the bonnet but it is very useful I think. For info, as there was a discussion about tyres on this thread previously, it has 20 inch Yokohama Geolandar X-CVs fitted; we will have to see how they perform. The dealership did a great job at the handover so a thumbs-up to Steven Eagell from me.

Excellent - really happy for you - I love the HUD

Mine is off to N Wales for the first shoot in the new beast this weekend - be interesting to see what the other Guns think about it - a Sand LC in a sea of black and grey JLR vehicles ๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿ˜€

Congrats DrD, it looks stunning and Iโ€™m glad you love it - that was never in doubt!! Please post more photos when you get a chance and look forward to hearing what things you do / donโ€™t like.
Good that Steven E did a great job on the handover, I better chase them as mine is due (in theory) in about 10 days time and Iโ€™ve not heard a wordโ€ฆโ€ฆโ€ฆ.

Have fun, sounds like a great high bird day. The other guns are going to be very envious and you are so right about the sea of black & grey - says he with the grey about to arrive!! ๐Ÿ˜‚
Hopefully youโ€™ll get to โ€˜drive it between drivesโ€™ and not in a gun bus!

Oh yes - we will be driving around - itโ€™s a very spectacular shoot - will share some images

Special place - wonโ€™t post pics of people - this shows the LC high up - suspect we have a few others that better show the

I bet it was and your LC looks great too!

Well it was all Range Rovers and Discoveries and my LC

Put it in low range and it was stunningly good - love the way it goes

Nice for a UK spec to win photo of the month - a bit charitable with the amazing US scenery as competition but very pleased
