that sounds bad. I've never heard that before on mine. Whats the cause of piston slappage
Excessive tolerances with the piston and engine block wall.

Engines are more prone to piston slap when they are cold, as the metal components expand and tighten tolerances as the engine warms up.

This is why we hear it when it cold starts and after it sounds normal.

This does not sound like knocking, i.e. detonation, timing or compression warm up issues.
This sounds mechanical only and very possibly a warm up issue. Could be injectors or pump related. I hate to think it is a cam related issue.
