Is anyone changing the oil on their LC250 after the 1000 mile break in period?

Oil change complete at 975 miles.. No charge at dealership and he said it would not be problem for me to come back at 5k and then every 5k for complimentary service. Have to see in time if this holds true.

I did mine today at 1,200 miles. I had plenty of room once I got the skid plates off. This was the messiest oil change I’ve done. The drain plug at an angle made it a challenge. The oil came out hit the drain pan then shot out of pan onto garage floor. I had to position the pan just right so oil wouldn’t shoot out.

I hate it when that happens.

The Fumoto F133N valve makes it really easy. There is a vendor on Bezoar’s site that even sells it with a little clear hose to make sure you don’t miss. The F133N replaces the F103, and is much faster to drain the oil than the F103 valve.

I used a 5 gallon plastic bucket the second time to avoid this. Then just poured into the catch pan from the bucket. The 0-20w is like water and flows much quicker than traditional 10-30w. You can use cat litter and crush it into the concrete/garage floor standing on it twisting your feet, let it sit for a while and sweep up to get most of the oil out.

I didn’t put mine on ramps so I don’t think a 5 gallon bucket will fit. I’ve had a few vehicles with the 0W-20 and never made a mess like this one did. I just wiped it up and used brake cleaner on the garage floor. I am glad Toyota went back to a canister style oil filter.

I drained with just the drivers side on the ramp. Used a little smaller bucket than 5 gallon. Need something with a little taller sides because of the oil drain speed and how thin it is.

I just made it to a 1,010 miles. Barely 19 MPG in the city. I'm concerned about waiting for 10,000 MI to change the oil. I'm thinking about doing a quick change and sending it off for testing. I use Blackstone labs.
This my my Blackstone report after 200 miles and just prior to my first oil change.

I took it in a 950, I’m averaging 23.

Took my Land Cruiser First Edition into the dealership this morning for its first oil change with 980 miles. Decided not to send the used oil out to a lab for analysis, but will do my second oil change at 5,000 miles and then again at 10,000 miles. From that point forward I will follow the factory recommendations and suggested intervals.
