Battery voltage

While looking for a solid power source to tap into under the hood, I chose the passenger side power distribution box main 12v lead connection point (same buss the 12v starter cable is connected to) , using a multimeter I was only getting 11.5 volts which seems low to me.

Anyone else do any voltage measurements?
