No roof rack.

and this is why i say the 1958 is the one. Simplicity.
Unfortunately, am a sucker for all the Bells & Whistles, even at age 83. Hint: A retired computer tech. :) This said, would rather not have a sunroof, but comes bundled with the Premium package.

I have never been a big fan of roof racks. Some look really cool I will admit that, but I also know I would never use it.

You are not making my day! Our LC is still in the queue, and has been for many months. Long story, but essentially a small dealer is the drawback. On a positive note, will now be a 2025.
I feel your pain. I'm also with a small dealer and have not gotten mine from them. HOWEVER, I found the exact one I'd been waiting for (mid trim, non-premium, Meteor/Brown Sugar) at another dealer 3 hours away. It's a 2025, at MSRP. Just signed the offer to purchase tonight, and should see it 3rd week December! 🤞

Many have reported the roof rack substantially increases wind noise, and of course affects fuel economy a tad. Would it be an issue in some car washes? Not for me...
Which is why Miss Daisy will lose her FE roof rack, as soon as I get the needed parts to plug the holes. Left by the rack

I will never use Miss Daisy’s FE roof rack either. And with it contributing to the wind noise, and fuel consumption, I am going to let it go.

I may be in the minority, however, I like the appearance of a roof rack on any SUV. Adds a rugged appearance. However, I like the old school appearance of Land Cruiser / Land Rover.

In fact, I am adding Thule cross bars to add an additional layer of rack.

However, I would never actually my roof rack as I don't want to get it dirty....

I removed the cross bars but kept the side rails so I can pull myself up, and step on the rear tire so I can wipe the roof after I wash it!

I don’t car camp, but I would like to try it one day. My rifles and other gear fit inside. I guess keeping the rails is largely hobby-dependent.
