    2024 or 2025 Model Year?

The squeaky brakes are the result of no longer using asbestos for the brake pads. Every new vehicle I have purchased over the last 20 or so years have had brake squeak from time to time--particularly when cold/have condensation. Very common and disappears after a few miles with normal driving.

I did just order the badge overlays from Chris at Stickerfab in silver/gray. Looking forward to receiving them.

I should have been more specific. The actual gray plastic protective piece on the bottom of the hath.

    Gray Accent Piece for Hatch....

This is a slick short video of the LC from overseas. I am curious if anyone has sourced the gray accent piece on the hatch? Looks sharp.

How often do you try to start your LC with the MODE SELECT button?

I will say, if I don't adjust the volume on the steering wheel, there are a number of knobs that could work as a volume knob which I have nearly used....including the aviation styled air vents center knob.

Shortage forcing me to change color 💔

It is a pretty slick color. It takes on numerous shades depending on its light exposure. In person, it is definitely tan/brown most of the time. Frankly, every color on the LC is sharp. I had a tough time deciding, however, I always go back to black....like my soul.

Shortage forcing me to change color 💔

Yes. I believe it is called that in other parts of the world as well. It is a more fitting name as it is a shade of brown/tan.

How often do you try to start your LC with the MODE SELECT button?

I had no idea what the OP was talking about at first. I was thinking he was saying there was a secret way to start the LC via the Mode Select button. I thought to myself....why in the hell would one want to do that? In all seriousness, about 50 percent of the time, I go to start all vehicles...

Not used to the attention this thing is getting

I once had to change the wiper blades on a 4Runner. They are absolute unreliable junk. The smart people go for Range Rover and never look back. Land Rover/Range Rover is known for their excellent reliability and outstanding resale value....literally no depreciation.

    Roof Racks and MPG

At around 250 miles on mine, my goal this week is to hit 15 mpg in the City....I'm in Sport Mode the minute I start it. Still better than my '22 4R with 11k miles on it which avg's around 10-12 mpg in the city-----and definitely no "Sport Mode" in the 5th Gen 4R.

Shortage forcing me to change color 💔

Meteor Grey is actually very bronze in real life. A lot of brownish hue to it. Very little gray in it at all.

    Paint issue - advice needed!

Take it to a high end detailer and have them look before you even entertain re-painting the hood. I would do everything possible before re-painting. If you do have to resort to a re-paint, make sure it doesn't go on the CarFax as many shops have to report it as damage; which obviously reduces...

    New Owner with some questions

Agree 100%. I have used Porsche tenders for 20 years and have replaced only one battery in this time period. CTEK makes Porsche tenders and 99% of all tenders. Good product.

The tan is a nice contrast. Most notably with a black exterior. And Toyota did it right by mixing black accents with it. However, the black over black with silver stitching/ gray stitching really is elegant, sporty, and timeless and easy to maintain over the long run.

Not used to the attention this thing is getting

The beauty part of the Land Cruiser has always been its one-of-a-kind vehicle that is both prestigious to own as a Land Cruiser and also an every day "common" name as Toyota. This is why it is generally purchased by subtlety financially comfortable people. It's not generally purchased by...

Not used to the attention this thing is getting

Agreed. Mercedes / BMW's / Range Rovers are a dime-a-dozen in every city anymore and everyone and their dog owns / leases one. Nothing different about them anymore. The Land Cruiser is still pretty rare and exclusive and is designed for a certain buyer. I am having the house painted and had...

    Illuminated door sills on sale

Toyota does some outright goofy things in the US market. Why wouldn’t they have “Land Cruiser” illuminated door sills on all Premiums? Why do they have the “Land Cruiser” badge on the rear hatch black on a black truck? Black badging should be part of a package for those who want all black...

That is a good idea as well. I have no idea how every passenger one has drags their feet over the sills and somehow manages to twist the seatbelt into a nearly impossible to correct twisted knot.

That's pretty quick shipping. And they are OEM? Are the rears aluminum as well and have "Land Cruiser on them, however, not lighted? Come to think of it, I don't even know if my illuminated "Toyota" sills are lit in the back seats. Never been back there.

That's great. This is certainly reassuring. I have the Toyota illuminated sills, which are really high quality. The Land Cruiser would be slick as well. I wonder if they have First Edition mud flaps?

I like the "Land Cruiser." However, how many months would it take to get parts from Japan? And is this source trustworthy? I've been burned buying Land Rover/Range Rover parts from England that never arrive.

Upgrade my 1958 to mid trim?

The LC Premium is a significant upgrade over the 1958 both inside and outside. I would work a trade on a 2024. The '25's will be a long way out before arrival and you will be paying MSRP or above. They are low-balling you on your 1958. However, that is how it works. You would get more on...
