I think even that is an exaggeration. That indicates there's noticeable difference. If you took the location of manufacture off the window sticker, no one in this thread would be able to tell the difference between the two factories.
This.
Hino has been building trucks for decades. Both factories are japanese and held to the same standards. Tahara is just more well known due to the models they've been involved in producing.
I wouldn't say they're consistently under MSRP but there have been 1958s sold $500-$2000 under MSRP in slower moving parts of the country already.
Currently within 500 miles of Zip 22551 there are 78 1958 models that are unsold and already out of transit.
I was planning on Navy Fed. Just checked penfed and it's .05% lower. I'll probably stick with Navy Fed since I do a majority of my other banking through them.
I believe a few 1958s have sold below MSRP because they're a hard sell at sticker when the LC trim is only a bit more. I would bet approximately 0 FEs have been sold under MSRP.
I'm aware of 1 (one) GX OT+ that sold below MSRP because the dealer wrecked it in the lot when it was delivered, and...
Mine started showing the ability to download the digital key in my App at some point. I haven't done it because I don't want to.mess it up when it gets here.
My salesman did say he should get an update soon. However he's still pinning it on the Baltimore bridge collapse so I'm not sure that I...
I plan on building a platform out of wood. Just going to make taller supports over the battery than the seats. I'd think the sleeping platform would be too big for 3d printing to be necessary or an advantage
When the dealer takes your preferences
it means they're going to watch their allocations until they get assigned one that closely matches your preferences. At that point, they'll offer it to you to reserve it
They may have a guy who wants black, a guy who wants white, and a guy who wants blue...
It still doesn't really change in anything in how the ordering/allocation is done. When an allocation gets randomly assigned to a dealer, and the buyer agrees to take that one, that VIN gets "reserved" by the buyer so that they can buy it when it arrives. The buyer can still back out all the way...
Means there's a VIN being built that you have a deposit on.
My Wind Chill is coming in Java. I've see a fair number of incoming Heritage Blue's with the Java as well.
One of the toyota marketing guys said in a video it was for when the mud flaps are all the way folded up, they don't slap back into the tires. Seemed kind of like BS. I don't know why that would cause any issues.

Article is sparse on detail, but hopefully this isn't the true reason behind the holds.
I've been deep in the rabbit hole the last 2 hours or so trying to find any way to access the web page without a dealer link. No dice yet. Seems the only way is to get a link.
My dealer sent me a scanned-in print out of the website, but not a link. Seems im back to impatiently waiting.
For what it's worth on the PIO front, mine is on hold and the only PIO are Door Edge Guards and the Cable Kit.
Edit to mention: not First Edition either so mine isn't the roof rack. Turned down the FE offered to me.
Unfortunately this is the case. The people on hold are a minority in the long run. It'd be way worse PR for them to announce reasons. In a few weeks the hold will be forgotten. Price of being early adopters.
