I think it's pretty much a Canada wide thing. I'm seeing a few LC's in Calgary, but most are 58's. Seems Canada always gets the short end of the stick with this sort of thing.I am out Chilliwack area

I finally gave up on my dealer and started looking around. I have a deposit on a 2025 brown sugar standard trim (what I've been after) up in Edmonton, and it's currently sitting at the port in Vancouver. Supposed to see it first week January.Hello fellow canucks. Anyone feel like we are still bairly getting a trickle of these ? I'm on my 15th month post deposit here in BC, and NOTHING
Its a real head-scratcher how they allocate these vehicles. I'm in the Edmonton area and saw one in my neighbourhood on August 29, I had one in my driveway by September 4.Hello fellow canucks. Thanks! I've really been holding out for a primum pack in Heritage blue... so maybe its my own fault. Passed on a brown sugar metallic one a couple months ago that someone passed up on.I finally gave up on my dealer and started looking around. My dealer where I had my deposit has since called, and they can get a fleet vehicle (with about $5k worth of fleet extras), or a black standard trim within a few weeks if you're interested.
That's why I took my FE - I didn't want to wait and i already have a coast-to-coast trip and lots of fun offroading. I don't really need all the extra features - probably only the sway bar disconnect not on the 1958 I wanted. People waiting for a specific color I think don't know how Toyota Canada works. Dealers are given an allocation and that's all they get. They can indicate preference and trade with other dealers, but you can't really order a vehicle like you could in the past. At least that is my understanding. If I was offered a colour I didn't want then I would just take it and paint it!!I'm so glad I grabbed the First Edition or I'd still be waiting.
I get it. But IMO its a miss step by Toyota. I didn't get a chance at the one first edition my dealer was allocated because some dealer staffer snapped it up. Its been a frustrating experience when so many other manufactures offer a normal buying experience. That's why I took my FE - I didn't want to wait and i already have a coast-to-coast trip and lots of fun offroading. I totally agree and I was 3rd on the list for the FE and could have otherwise still been waiting, but the first 2 thought it was overpriced. Even the FE was frustrating as it sat in the port for months for QA. I just think people if they really want one need a different mindset - that from my understanding you can't really ORDER a specific land cruiser color. You can pick from what the dealer gets or trades... maybe that will make the Toyota experience less frustrating at least. Maybe I'm wrong?I get it. But IMO its a miss step by Toyota.
Yep, I've been holding out too. Could have had one by now, but I want what I want. I think it looks great in black, but I've had soooo many black vehicles over the years. I'll be driving this to visit my jobsites (we do custom renos) meaning I'm in and out of the car all day long - 15 minute drive, then car sits in the sun for an hour, then 10 - 15 minute drive again. When it's hot out, I barely get a black vehicle cooled down before I'm jumping back out. Doing this several times a day can be a real PITA.Thanks! Honestly once the Trail Dust grew on me, I really learned to love it. Might've gone that way if offered in mid trim, but wasn't interested in an FE.In my area, central British Columbia, the dealer has been allocated very few. I tried to put a deposit down on a LC Premium in Underground but someone beat me to it, so I went to the next dealer closest by, about 2 hours away and bought my LC FE, no mark ups etc. They just wanted it to stay in the area, or maybe Toyota Canada did. I saw the LC Premium sitting in the showroom at my local dealer when I went for an early oil change last week, but wasn't for sale, just showcasing it until the buyer picks it up I suspect. In the end, I am happy with what I got and pleased that the Traildust is an exclusive LC color, at least for now.
