@Tomo1 with the CAtuned bar mounting to the front recovery point location, are the original recovery points removed permanently or are they retained and available for use? If they are retained, would any strap or rope (being used for a tow) contact, stress or damage the bar?
They said you drop the bolt, remove the tow hooks spin them around then put the bolt back through the hook then the bar, then remount to the same holes in the frame.

I really like the way this one looks. What I don't like is that the install instructions say the consumer has to tap the bolt holes for the bull bar into their bumper. I'm not down for that on the $1200+ bumper
I agree, just looking for a simple bolt on. Don't want to reinvent the wheel.

All I have is a general bolt size torque spec, nothing specific on the tie down points.

bringing this back up because I am trying to figure this out. how to get both hooks back on. Photos attached of the passenger side I was able to get back on when I installed. The CAtuned guy said it should be tow hooks first then brush bar mounted second, below the hooks. He might have been confused he wanted me to send him pics but I told him that is not possible since the bolt holes are recessed. I also did a little sketch from the passenger side photo to show the issues I am having on the driver side that prevent me from mounting that sides tow hook. Bumps up against FE skid plate and the bolts wont line up straight.

@dtxlcfe Thanks for posting those photos. It looks like all of your photos are of the passenger side. Even the last one that is labeled "Driver side issue" and which seems to show the tow loop fully installed with no clearance issue with the skid plate. Am I misinterpreting the photos? EDIT: I just reread your post and you did make clear that all of these photos were of the passenger side.

Do you have another photo of the driver's side that shows the skid plate preventing the full install of the bar hardware?

In any case, please let us know what the final word is from CAtuned and whether you are able to get the bar installed properly.

a photo of the driver side is kinda pointless because it is mounted without the hook on there. So you wouldn't see where it doesn't clear because I cant even get it on. There is no clearance issue on the passenger side but there is on the drvr side.

I moved the psgr side hook to drvr side and vise versa. Got the hooks to fit but I had to force them in a bit. they are permanently in contact rubbing against the first edition skid plates on both sides which isn't my favorite. but I don't see that being a structural issue. just hope it doesn't make noise clanking around off roading or whatever. in the future I suppose I could get the smaller victory4x4 billet recovery points or something if it ever became a problem.

Looks like some careful hammer work could fix the issue. I'd take a blunt metal-working chisel and place it between the recovery point and the skid plate and hammer away, the skid plate will conform to the pressure and bend just enough.
