Wow! So even though your 2.8 litre diesel can get 32 mpg highway driving they still spec'd a 21 gallon tank (probably same tank as Lexus GX550). That combination would give excellent driving range suitable for long distance on/off road touring.
Long distance touring is the Land Cruiser's "raison d'être" !

Just met Eric, super nice guy, he has to leave on a work trip and will not be there for the install. So I don't think they will be doing a video. Hopefully I be able to capture some good pictures.

There are multiple threads on MPG numbers, regular vs. premium gas, mods for gas tanks. After driving to near empty to remove the wrong grade gas (don't send your teenager to the gas station) I observed that the fuel level display seems designed to create range anxiety. Even with 1/4 tank showing, to me it looks like I'm about to run dry. I may have turned it off, but also did not get any low-fuel warning even down to 30 miles left (when I gave in and filled up). To me, the fuel display is not as effective as it should be, especially in a vehicle designed for driving in places where no help is coming if you run out of gas.

I'm sure I will get used to it, but would like to have a display that doesn't cause me to worry about remaining fuel.

How do you turn off the range gauge ?

I think this a toyota thing? Not just the LC…

I’ve heard the same thing. Not that there is an actual reserve tank, it’s just calculating range on 15.9 gallons to avoid running car to complete empty and damaging the fuel pump.

Yes, covered in another thread. BLUF the GX tank doesn't have a void molded in to clear the LC suspension link. When it warms up a bit, I'll try and mold in the void to the GX tank.
