It is literally the only chrome on the car. Obviously an afterthought.I personally do not like the I force max badging
It would be cool if I could find someone who could make these in 3DJust got these today…
Definitely, IforceMax badge way better on taco and 4runner, no doubt. However, new gen taco, tundra and 4runner body designs didn't win me over (but all different beasts). Keeping my 3rd gen taco for life (owned 4 of them). IMO 250 LC body design is just perfect. I'm okay with having badge envyYou badge haters have to admit, ours at least looks better than on the Taco/4Runner:

Can you post a picture ? Sounds like best solution.I just blacked it out this evening using Plastidip. It was easy and the Plastidip peels right off the paint, leaving no sign it was on the paint at all. Only negatives is that even using the Plastidip gloss top coats (3), it’s still not as glossy as the LC emblem. And it definitely has a different feel to the touch as it’s a rubbery feel. TBD about durability but it definitely looks better than chrome.
So much time with so little to do...Mine came right off with a little heat from a heat gun (you can use a hair drier) and my finger nails. I wiped off the left over glue with some wd40 and no scars on the car. It's like they put that badge on there to mess with us.
They make blackout kits. Much more permanent than Plastidip. Can you post a picture ? Sounds like best solution.
Thanks I ordered it from Toyota last night. They make blackout kits. Much more permanent than Plastidip.
Wouldn’t all LC’s have 4WD back then? I’m thinking this isn’t a lot different from a marketing perspective than putting up the iForceMax badge nowadays. But. I will say your badge swap looks awesome & I much prefer it!
They did all have 4WD and you’re right that the badge was then just what the Force Max badge is today. I have no hate for the iForceMax badge. I just like this one better because it’s heritage. Seems to fit with all the other heritage cues on the new LC. I wanted this badge on the rig, but I took the iForceMax badge off because it would be too busy with bothWouldn’t all LC’s have 4WD back then? I just have to be the contrarian, but yes I certainly agree with you & love the heritage badging! This is a mod I’d make for sure if I buy an LC. I removed mine easily. I used a hair dryer on it for about 2 minutes to heat up the adhesive backing, then I used dental floss to "saw" through the adhesive--took less than a minute. The residual adhesive left behind was easily removed using Goof-Off (available at Home Depot for about $5). I looks cleaner with it removed, I find. Can anyone confirm that they peeled it off without any negative impact on the paint?
