High Offset Wheels (>=than 40mm)

That's the exact combo I have, and it works perfectly. No rubbing whatsoever, crash plates retained (yes, full compression/turning, front and rear), might poke out maybe <1/2" more than stock, but unnoticeable. It's a great combo for people who don't want to overpay for the Tundra/Sequoia TRD Pro BBS wheels, and they are basically the same weight (28.7 lbs if I recall correctly). ~$200+/wheel and done.

Still tucks nicely in the fender well at full compression.

I probably should have gone with the 285/70r18 but I didn't want a E load tire and the Falken C load is heavier than the E load tires. Falken makes a beefy tire. Still may get the Toyo Open Country's next time when my 270/70r18s need replacing. Hoping there will be more choices by then for the 18" wheels. Always dig your photos of your rig in the wild. (y)

Hey thanks, it's been super-fun to get her out there! Bummed we're getting into winter (not a snow-wheeler, those dudes are nuts!).

I wanted the AT4Ws, but I just couldn't fathom the weight(s) of their tires. Some of Falken's data out there is nonsensical and I question its accuracy (same size "C" heavier than "E"?). Happy with the Toyos thus far, haven't had a chance to get them in heavy rain or snow yet, but have been fantastic off-road (not that high a bar compared to rain/snow, honestly). They don't pick up and hold small stones, either; that was the only thing I didn't like about the Cooper AT3s (two sets). My brief time with the Falken AT3s on my outgoing 4Runner proved them fantastic in heavy rain (during towing even), and great off-road.
 
Here you go. 285 70 18 Toyo AT3's, Westcott lift, 2024 Tacoma TRD wheels Plus 45 offset.... I think this is best set up ever. 45 offset is perfect as mentioned from other members. A little poke, no more rubbing like I had with the KMC's plus 18 offset. I'm 100% satisfied.
What did you do for TPMS?
 
Another option which I ordered yesterday are the Raceline Rogue 758B. They come in 18x8.5, 6x139.7, 35mm offset. I have been waiting for Methods to arrive, but they look to be arriving in January now, I went with these. They are currently on sale for $259. They have two other color options as well. Will post pics when they arrive.

285/70 or 285/65...I myself can't decide. I have everything in the cart but can't make up my mind!
Here's what 285/65s look like on +45 offset wheels for reference.

I ended up going with 275/70r18 on Method 319 wheels but I may go 285/70r18 on the Tacoma wheels. I've lost about 1 MPG with the 275/70 over the 285/65. Curious what the 285/70 MPG is.
 
285 70 18's are 33.74" You should compare tire weight and height to optimize your goal for size
 
Im picking up a set of 2024 trd tacoma wheels like shown in previous post above that are matt black and plus 45 offset tomorrow. We will see. Im putting them with my 285 70 18 toyo at3's. Im replacing my KMC's that are plus 18 offset. I dont like how far they poke out and im getting rubbing even with crash plates removed up front and mudflaps gone. Dont ever go plus 18 or zero offset. Bad idea with large tires

Did you reuse the lugs that came on your factory wheels? And did you order the center caps listed?

I did re-use the lug nuts from the stock 18" wheels, and I ordered the bronze "TOYOTA" caps, which are perfect with Trail Dust.

28 - 28.75 lbs according to a couple sources. So roughly the same ballpark as the stock 18” Land Cruiser/FE trim wheel, and almost 10 lbs lighter than the 20” wheel.
