Heated Seats issue: Updated**

Heated seat is the only issue I have so far with the LC. Otherwise, the car has been great for me. We take the car out town almost every weekend and enjoy every moment. Very happy LC owner here. Maybe u can check out the heated seat on the car u plan to purchase and if it not hot, ask the salesman for his opinions about it. I like to hear what dealership say about it too.
I am too very happy with the LC.

The heated seats worked fine on my ‘02 LC with non-perforated leather. Haven’t begun to be tempted to try the feature in my new LC. I suspect the heat won’t be as noticeable with cloth seats.

October update
The seat heaters work. When leaving the house early, I notice heat under my seat well before the HVAC (set to Auto) begins to blow hot air. It’s not dramatic but works sufficiently - with the heated steering wheel - to bridge the time period before the overall cabin is comfortable

Tried mine out last night and they got hot very quick. Base trim, with AC running. It was 90 deg here in FL.

Turned on the seat warmers on our drive home a couple of hours ago as the temperature had dropped into the low to mid 40s and I was somewhat underwhelmed. I had the seat heater set to its hottest setting and it did warm up after a couple of minutes but it wasn’t nearly as warm/hot as I’ve become accustomed to in our other vehicles. Interestingly, the seat back appeared to feel warmer than the seat cushion.

I also noticed that the heated steering wheel was also not nearly as warm as I had expected. Again, it definitely warmed up after a couple of minutes, but it was very subtle. Perhaps there is some other factor that’s affecting the temperature of the heating elements that I don’t fully understand yet, so I’ll report back if my experience changes in the future.

I don’t know how the new system works but I doubt it requires perforated seats - unlike the ventilation feature on the higher trims.
I've never seen the "ventilated" heat elements/pads, but every heat warmer I've ever seen is a pad that is adhered to the seat foam. (think of a home use heating pad)

The heated seats in my FE are great - not quite as hot as in my JLU Sahara, which is actually nice because they would get too hot (for my taste).

Used mine for the first time last night and seemed to work fine. Not crazy hot but definitely warm enough to notice and then turn off after a few minutes because they were too warm.

Mine have started working intermittently and/or weakly. When there's an issue it seems to affect both driver and passenger. I was going to check the fuse, then call the dealer.

Does anyone have issues with the heated seats? Mine don’t feel very warm at all. I know it’s summer but we loved our heated seats to keep our back warm early in the morning or on road trip. Planning to bring into a local dealership to have it check.

Updated: Brought my LC to local Toyota dealership. Service guy told me they have to order the ac controller board because it show that there was limited voltage. The part has been ordered but it’s on backorder.
Is this a TSB? Mine is so NOT warm as well.

They are weak. I have a volkswagen and a mazda as well. Both are much better. The volks actually is uncomfortable hot lol. Can cook an egg on it in max setting.

It might be the design. A super hot seat warmer is a thing you think you want until you get one and can only run it for a couple minutes before it gets uncomfortable. Maybe Toyota did some tests and decided the lighter touch would be preferable over the long term.

I don’t have any problem with how the seat warmers are performing. Too hot and you run the risk of burning out the heating elements over time. Toyota designs for longevity and reliability.

I love just about everything on the LC except the seat heat. We'll see if it might get better once the temps drop outside? Out of all the heated seats vehicles I've owned, this is about the weakest.. even on high. I went thru the Carista menu to see if there was a 'high' or 'max' setting for the heated seats. No luck... only for the ventilated seats.

Curious if a lot of us have bad controller boards? I thought I read on here a few folks reported their heated seats were hot enough to cauterize hemorrhoids.

I came from a Volvo which has the best heated seats in the business, IMHO and also three level heating on their steering wheel. High setting was too hot. I am also hopeful that these seats will provide the needed warmth in cold temps once winter hits.
