Anyone having problems with doors not sitting flush. I just bought LC LC and noticed about a month later that rear passenger door was not sitting flush with body like other doors (out of state dealer so dealer not helpful), the door was about 1/4 of CM out probably. Went to a dealer in Houston who just refused to fix. Called TMNA and they assigned a case and a different dealer. The dealership did its best to fix but , this is the message I got paraphrase
" Sent it to body shop and they were able to temporary fix and sit more flush" , also "but Toyota should give more information on how to fix in future".
He mentioned that more vehicles (sienna on site) were also coming in with similar issues which should never have left factory.
My issue is about 70% resolved, but it looks like TOYOTA is not interested in helping much. I am going to keep going up the escalation ladder (as much as I can) to get the issue fixed
Any suggestions or have anyone else noticed similar issues?

To fix the issue the hinges are adjusted. This is really the only way the doors can be adjusted.

found out from the dealership. its the striker plate. Coming out of factory the striker plate holes were drilled incorrectly and adjustment of striker plate does not completely fix the problem.

The striker plate would be a supplier part. That part can be easily replaced. If the striker plate is out of alignment the door won’t easily close. If the door is sitting too far up or down this would be the hinges needing adjustment.

what I was told by the "service manager" was that they could can adjust the striker plate in or out. He said that they moved the striker plate in as much as they could, but still the door sticks out just a bit (here is where my OCD kicks in thinking it was a 71K car). Also wondering over time things are going to get loose and striker plate will have 0 adjustment left...... Just kinda pissed at the whole situation

The dealer most likely doesn’t know what they’re talking about. They don’t fit cars nor know how to do it. The hinges probably need adjusting.
