Hey guys. I’ve had my first edition for 3 weeks. And I use the hell out of it. So here’s my opinion based off my situation. No kids. Not towing anything with it ever. Horizontal directional drilling foreman with a CDL.
I hadn’t planned on spending that much, but I loved the first edition so much that I was like “yup” that’s what I’m getting in a 5 minute period. I’m big on interiors since that’s where you are all the time. Sounds stupid and obvious. But it’s like enjoying where you live. Because life is where you live . Northern Virginia to Colorado 9 years ago
Power - I barely touch the gas in eco mode including elevation gaining mountain trips in Colorado. I very very rarely go over 2600 rpm’s. So let’s calm down with the turbo abuse comments.
Comfort- it’s so comfortable that my quality of life is better and I can drive farther than usual without feeling sore/tired.
MPG- it’s where it should be. It will go up over time for sure. Give it a 1k-2k miles at least before you call someone (I called ). 22-23 hwy with 10 ply 275/70/18 Toyo open countrys.
Reliablitly - it’s under warranty. use it. It’s just a truck. It’ll be ok . We won’t know for awhile. Don’t lose sleep over it.
Looks - it is a beautiful sexy box
Cons-
wind - the obnoxiously windy days you will get a little pushed around. I’m talking 65 mph gusts plus. But not really surprising. Its a box, not a sports car slammed to the ground
Size(kinda) - im 6’ and I almost thought it was a hair smaller than I expected behind the wheel. Then I realized the telescopic wheel was way out. It’s big enough with some room to spare. All I’m asked in public is “is it underpowered?” and “third row?”. If you have more than 1 kid maybe think about something bigger.
Gas tank - yes I wish the gas tank was a little larger. But it doesn’t matter. It’s not like I don’t have to pee every 100-150 miles anyway. Or am I going to go off the grid for 300 miles.
I hope you guys are enjoying yours or get them delivered soon. Just wanted to ease some minds.
Take care
