Accelerating from a stop sign, the truck went into neutral, the engine rived up, and malfunction lights started flashing. Had the truck towed to the dealer. The dealer thinks I put the truck into park?! And can’t find any issues “it’s a new car with a new system. These glitches happen”.

The truck has 800 miles on the clock

Has anyone seen this issue?

Regardless if you inadvertently put the truck into park, I would not think this error should occur. This said, I would not be terribly concerned unless it happens again. Be sure to have the dealer document the failure, just in case it reoccurs, and, perish the thought, you have to invoke the lemon law of your state. Thankfully, you took a photo. BTW, welcome to the forum from a native of your city/state. (Left in 1963)

Happened to me at about 70 miles. Exact same thing. I limped home, charged the 12v battery and it has not happened again. I'm ~5500 right now
Now that is interesting! One would think the vehicle would be charging the 12V battery if needed, and certainly not going into electric-only mode, shutting down the engine.

Happened to me. Wouldn’t get out of 2nd gear afterwards. Just let it sit and codes cleared and problem stopped. The evening before it drove fine but warning lights still were on.

I think because mine had sat at the port so long that the battery was discharged. It took quite some time for my charger to fill it up. I don't think toyota put the best 12v battery in there as well 🤔

It’s happening to me as I sit here and type. I’m at 5000 miles and just what you described happened with the added bonus of the cabin filling up with gas fumes. I mean, run you out of the car fumes.
