My truck has been sitting in the garage for 12 days and I wanted to get a battery tender on it. At 5pm or so connected a battery charger/maintainer directly into the battery and it showed 52%. Overnight it is at 100%, and it shifted automatically to maintenance mode. Will leave that...
I did notice that on long highway trips, so started to check against GPS. What I found is that if it set the cruise to 75, the speedo would show and stay on 74,. But the gps speedos would go between 74.6 to 74.9 at the same time.
Parking brake goes on right after it goes on P and ignition off, that is an easy audible. This is something else, or the P-brake is releasing. We have Great Pyrs, so to me it doesn't sound like a bark at all.
Coming from this ancient CarPlay system, I am awed by what the new system can do, faults and all. It’s like magic. Then again my old system always worked.
Holy crap I finally heard it! Had to laugh out loud remembering this post. Grocery store run and then home, took 3 trips from garage to kitchen for all the bags. Then close the tailgate and go inside. About 2 minutes later went back out to garage and heard this squeal coming out of the...
I had this problem on a long trip, 1700 miles in 2 days type trip. What I found out with my iPhone Xr is:
Hard connected or not didn’t have an effect, didn’t matter
The phone did get pretty hot, it was warm
Where I placed the phone did seem to matter, in the hard console or on the seat...
Thats what I was thinking. Reminds me of my old land rover. After parked in the garage for a minute it would release little puffs of air from the suspension leveling out. Little doom farts to remind you that you are running on air only.....
My handle name? Not in the cool creative kids club, it's just me. So I can find myself if I have fallen and can't get up. No interesting stories.... Just quiet suburban life
I just got a Vantrue N2 Pro from Amazon, and the 11ft power cord is just long enough to reach the rear seat middle console 12V round plug. Camera is simple enough for what I need. The cable goes from passenger side headliner, down the A pillar cover, under the glovebox, then straight back on...
Another oil change here, 1798 miles. Nothing unusual about it, gasoline smells, metal ingots falling out, etc. Just a simple oil and filter, 5.9 qts of Mobil 1 in. That’s a small filter and I had the correct size filter wrench for it.
I have a setup in my 80 series with solar panels and the RiverflowPro 720, powers fridge, and anything else I used on long trips. It’s a small generator and fills up fast, from 63% to 100% on the 2400w inverter took a little over an hour
No dice. I am an enginerd, read all the manuals, watch videos, an it just won’t transfer. I can see it saved on the app though
The nav manual is on the Toyota owners page, I have them all as pdfs in my iPad, makes the searchabLe by phrase or word
Adding this as I coudnt find any similar experiences. Drove 1800 miles last 5 days, no issues with carplay or radio sound. Last 30 minutes of the long drive was through a torrential thunderstorm, so we had turned the sound all the way to zero so we can better hear outside sounds.
Anyway...
Yes, just finished a 1500 mile trip from NC to Miami, ecoflow powering fridge, and inverter to ecoflow. No problem. Overnight and when vehicle was off the ecoflow kept the fridge running of course, and when I started driving again it will replenish the ecoflow. 5 days trip
Got paranoia reading this as I am about to go on a long trip, went out to test the battery and got these results. It’s a smallish battery, only 600 CCA. My 80 uses a 800 CCA one. State of Health at 100% is reassuring.
I got to retune my ears to new vehicle, only had mine for 3 days and I can’t tell if it’s loud or not. My other 2 are a ‘97 80 series and a ‘81 fj43, got used to that “noise”
