I'm curious as well. I'm under the impression that the tank is smaller because of the hybrid battery but could be wrong. Interested in seeing how this works and if it's more squeeze than juice financially.
I'm assuming you are not referring to the OEM wheels in pic#1.
They are Toyota Tacoma wheels 8" wide and a +45 offset. The stock are a +60 offset so you get a little wider stance which people on here are using with as big as 285/70r18 tire in real world offroad situations without any rub. No...
I noticed a hit in MPG for sure when I went to the heavier stock size E load. I'm averaging about 19 with the E load tires and I find them a bit stiff. I do however still prefer them over the stock Michelins.
If I could find a 275/70r18 in an SL load that I like I'd be a happy driver. Not sure...
Yes, I wish there were a lot more choices of tires in SL load in 275/70R18. There seems to be a lot more to choose from in the stock 265/70R18 size but I want to go a little bigger because the SL tread is not as deep and aggressive as the E load tires and look a little anemic in the stock size...
Sounds like a lot of work. I think I will pass on the Bradleys. They look great and I had the F5 wheels on my 4Runner but the Stealth Custom Series wheels were hub-centric so I never had an issue. To bad they don't make a +45-35ish offset wheel. I'd consider running them on my LC if they did...
Ok, looking good. I'm thinking about doing this. I tried the Tacoma TRD wheels in 18" with 285/65R18 but after I put them on my truck it just wasn't how I thought it would look in my mind. It's pretty much the same width as the stock tire which I like and I'll bet it's a smoother ride over the...
Anyone using and have photos of the Black Rhino Stadium wheel in 17x8" +35mm offset? I'm thinking of doing this wheel with 255/80R17 tires (pizza cutters)
That's something. The only tires in that size and load I've found has been General Grabber A/TX and Grabber APT neither of which I have any knowledge of.
I have to say though that I never got a flat tire in the 10 years that I ran E load tires on my 4Runner.
I can find 265/70R18 tires in a SL load and a 285/65R18 tire in SL load but no 275/70R18 in anything but E load for a Off Road A/T tire. Anyone know of a brand that makes a 275/70R18 A/T in a SL load?
Yes, I drove my LC for about a month and had a split right down the middle from top to about 5 inches from bottom from a rock. I'll be looking into EXOShield as well.
Glad you'll finally be able to fix it. Nothing worse then having to drive a brand new truck with a cracked windshield.
