Conspiracy theorists will tell you they’re always watching. Better not to have them at all. 🤣
Me? I’m just lazy. No need to go digging though settings.
I’m just going to leave this here…
One key difference I’ve discovered in the Canadian First Edition is that there is no driver monitoring system. No nanny watching where I’m looking. We don’t get Traffic Jam Assist, but we do still get the adaptive cruise and lane centering. A worthwhile trade...
New tires today! AT4W’s. Stock size. But the tread width is much wider than the Michelins. Standard Load. The ride is a touch firmer, just enough to know you’re driving AT’s. But still quiet and smooth. With all the sipes, looks like it will do great in snow.
Picked it up today. Reset everything. Got 25mpg on the highway on the way home, and 22.6mpg driving around city roads. Pretty darn happy with that! That’s the same as my compact Mazda CX-30 crossover (with Turbo).
Car and Driver instrumented test out today.
LC 0-60 is 7.7
GX 0-60 is 6.3
But…
30-50 the LC is ahead by a tenth and 50-70 the LC is only a tenth behind the GX.
Pretty darn close. I’ll take the mileage!
Launch week to Monday. Stared out 12 on the list. Made it up to 5. Stayed in touch. Happened to talk to them the day the first shipment arrived. Zipped over by the end of the day and ended up with a FE. No one had requested an FE in blue, and I was there, so they gave me first crack at it.
I used to love winter tires. But now we don’t get much winter weather any more. The 3PMS AT’s are good enough for me now.
Climate change. Or, it’s because I bought an Ariens snowblower and nature is now mocking me.
Agreed. I have a Mazda with a small gas tank. Yes, I fill up every week instead of two weeks. But on the upside, I never get sticker shock at the pump! LOL.
I ordered a LC Premium as I wasn’t that high on the list. But I never wanted the 20” wheels. When I got a chance to get a FE, I took it. Love the look of the overall package in person. And while I spent tens of thousands on Jeep mods, I’m not a young man any more and have neither the time or...
It depends on how you use your vehicle. PPF is a sacrificial layer meaning scratches hopefully end up in the PPF and not the paint. High quality PPF is self-healing in the heat of the sun, but it has its limitations. If you're wheeling regularly and get pin striping, the PPF won't last that...
Very nice! That photo really captures what the colour actually looks like in person.
I plan on putting a ceramic coating on it. I debate PPF, but it’s so expensive to have done properly. And you want it done properly or it looks terrible and messes up your paint.
