It appears so, but there could be a seam mid-way. Difficult to discern.

FE is definitely a two piece skid plate - l think Teebo also said the oil filter is accessible without dropping the front skid plate.

Wow, I don't see how one could change the oil! Filter maybe, if one was young and double-jointed.
Got my FE today. The skid plates are steel.
In this video where they broke the rad - I think that is a LC trim based on lights/mudflaps (but not colour/roof rack!), so I don't think it's an FE. wonder if the upgraded armour would have made a diff:

That one is a LC trim that they just put a roof rack on. I don't think the difference in skid plates is significant beyond appearance so result would likely be similar.
I was thinking of exactly this video. That looks like the 1958 & LC/LC skid plate, and it looks super thin, very minimal protection. I'd love to see thickness measurements on the standard plate and the FE/upgrade plate. (

Pretty much a gravel deflector....
I saw this video! They jumped a sand dune. Got some serious air. Then drove it 100+ miles back to the dealer they borrowed it from…still got them home.

Thanks! Looking at the pictures I'm doubtful the 1958/LC plate is even 1mm thick.
it would appear from my research the 2024 Tacoma and Land Cruiser FE use the same rear transmission skid plate. It appears to be an upgraded version like the current front skid plate upgrade available as an option for the Land Cruiser. So, ordering this in conjunction with the front skid should give the same protection as the FE which from an earlier post is 2.5mm steel.

I swapped out the skid that came with my LC LC with Premium for the same skid that is in the FE. As you can see the front one is thin metal the back one is plastic, looks like ABS, but that is just a guess. The part number is for the same skid that is on the FE.
I'm glad you posted that part number. I was going to say you can order the FE skid plate as I've seen it on even the 1958 version.
As for removal/install, it is quite easy with the two key hole bolt holes that allow you to hold it up. You don't have to hold the skid pan while trying to thread a bolt or anything. It's super easy. Remove 4 bolts, loosen 2.

The skid plates on FE are steel there at two one for engine and one for transmission. You have to remove both to change oil and filter and to grease Zerek’s on universal joints front to rear , which should be done at oil changes they are thicker and different than 1958 and LC models

According to the maintenance schedule, 15K for the zerks, except for severe conditions. This said, did them at every 5K oil change on our 4Runner. When sold, there was ZERO driveshaft play. Cheap insurance, except the front fittings were a huge pain to access. Hopefully not so bad for the LC.
I noticed over the weekend that both skid plates have been added to the options on the build page for the Land Cruiser.
