where can i buy this? dealer is of no help
I had this internal debate:
This plug thing sounds like a good compromise. I'll shop around and try to find one that goes deeper inside the hitch to give it a bit of extra protection from water/snow getting inside the tube. Any recommendations are welcome!
- Should I remove that ugly diaper cover?
- Maybe not? It protects the hitch from the rain/snow/dirt/rocks/etc.
- Yeah, true, but without the diaper the hitch can air-dry and dirt will naturally fall off. Also the diaper will keep the moisture and accelerate corrosion. . .

Mine was supposed to come with the small cover but the dealer can't find it or isn't supplying it. Need to purchase it on my own. is there an on-line place to purchase it? The dealer is of no help.

There's got to be a mistake. i spoke with the guy and he said it had to be crated. I sees this problem and will doulble check. That IS nutty!!

Every new LC is supposed to have the smaller cover as far as I know (for use when towing) ... mine was just sitting in the back wrapped in plastic.
Tell your dealer to step up ... (after making darn sure it's not hiding under the seat or inside that storage compartment in the cargo area ... )

As an FYI, it cost me ~$375 to ship 4 wheels from Japan via UPS, and appears to be 2 day service. That is outrageous for a small piece of plastic.
