Hi everyone. I have noticed a couple of shadows in my low beam. Very annoying as they are significant size The shadows dip down from the horizontal light line and dip down on the drivers side. I have the round lights. I assume that is the design to prevent blinding oncoming traffic but I haven't gotten used to them and may never. Do others here have the same low beam shadows? It is a shadow coming from each headlight and makes like two UU where they meet on drivers side. I will try and post a picture after our storm passes.

Well this is good example of why you shouldn’t pay a premium to get an FE. It comes with base model headlights. They give base model lighting performance.
It certainly begs the question, why use the same headlights on both the base and high-end model? Hope someone will post the light pattern for the horizontal headlights.

Thanks for the pictures, that's exactly what I see. I would like to see the rectangular light pattern. I was wondering if it was because of the round lights or is it by design.

Surprised we haven’t seen a comparison yet by any YouTube reviewers or owners. Surely this is a win for team rectangular over round. Now the round team needs to decide if exterior retro looks trump real world performances. They seem bright enough, just a little distracting with the pattern which isn’t enough for me to jump off team round but I haven’t actually driven one or lived with it on winding roads at night yet.

I recently read one comment on the rectangular lights being too dim and the person leaving the auto high beams on for this reason. Can anyone who has rectangular lights speak to this? Are all 3 projectors used while low beams are on? Time for a side by side video done with the same stretch of road at night going around a few curves using the round low and high beams and the rectangular low and high beams.

Too dim, or not projecting far enough due to a hard cut off line to reduce blinding other drivers?

Some HID and LED projectors seem to really limit the vertical throw of low beams.

My guess is the round LC headlights are giving that W shaped shadow due to a shutter of some sort cutting off the full pattern to limit blinding others with the low beams.

The person just phrased it as too dim but that could be too short of distance as well. If you look at the design of the round headlight, the LED does not go in a full circle and the top of the light is flat which is what is causing the pattern mentioned above.
