Former helicopter pilot, and the Bell 407 was the first turbine non-JetRanger/LongRanger aircraft that I flew back in the day, a much more capable (and modern) aircraft. The first serial number I flew/got checked out in later ended up crashing (mechanical) down in Texas while a crew was looking for Space Shuttle Colombia debris; RIP Buzz.
