🛠️ What Have You Done To Your LC250 Today?

Added 50hp. (Installing a grille badge on this thing is a pain!!!)

I bought the same one but am yet to install it since the bolts mine came with are way too short to use without a bunch of extra work.. hence why you said it's a pain!!! need the extra 50HP though, so any tips let me know lol

It is. I had a bmw 1250 gs adventure. It was taken after we did a mud run in the forest north of us. I thought the shot looked cool and is a great juxtaposition to how the brand is typically seen.
I’ve owned two GSA’s. An ‘07(Gretchen), and a ‘11(Lynda) with a custom paint job (avatar pic).

I wish I had taken pictures of Gretchen, the ‘07 GSA, after a return trip from Silver City, Idaho. She (and I) was covered in mud.

I will be back in a GS one day. A couple years ago I did a week long loop in Southern California with my girlfriend on the back. She is all for having a GS now. I’ve also had a couple GS’s, 2017 GSA and then that got hit by a car when parked and totaled. I then got into a 2019 1250 gsa. Amazing do anything bikes. Lovely to work on by yourself too.
I then got bit by the sport bike bug again and went into the RR and shortly after got out of bigger motorcycles for now.
Now just a Honda grom for myself and my girlfriend. But I plan on getting a used GS down the road.

Added:
Gloss black letter covers on Toyota logo on front grill.
Seat back covers that use headrests to mount at the top instead of elastic strings.
Land Cruiser puddle lights.
Black stainless steel door sill guards
Hood lifts
Storage tray on passenger side dash (looks almost like it should be an OEM part)

Im pretty excited about this one; I had leather installed on Comet (my LC 1958). I bought my LC last September and knew I wanted to add leather because I have dogs and we are an active fam so it’s easier to keep clean than fabric. I actually loved the fabric though, so I took my time to decide on what I wanted to replace it with.

At first I thought I would go with a factory match for the Java color and perforation. With my main concern being durability, I ultimately decided against perforation since it can tend to catch debris and is more susceptible to rips and tears (don’t have/want ventilated seats). I think the Java/Perforation combo looks really good but I kind of don’t like the brown paired with Meteor Shower.

I didn’t like the idea of black because the 1958 is pretty dark as it is - so I thought maybe adding a little color contrast would be nice. The process with Katzkin was easy enough, though I did feel a little nervous doing it online as it can be hard to know exactly what the colors will look like in reality. That said, the purple leather inserts look SO good with the Meteor Shower paint and the sliver stitching matches the factory arm rest exactly.

Also, Katzkin will send fabric and thread samples but I didn’t want to wait as there was a promotion which basically made the color and tekstich customizations free… it seems like they offer promotions frequently though… the only bummer about Katzkin is they won’t embroider/emboss any Toyota logos - they say Toyota won’t let them.

It is. All I did was slightly bend the angle of the top mounts to fit the angle of the factory roof rack. Fit perfect after that small adjustment.
Any noticeable wind noise on the hwy? I’d prefer to leave this on full time, adding my off-road kit as necessary, but it’s also my daily driver…

It’s my daily driver as well. I haven’t noticed any wind noise from them, even with the windows down. I installed the mini traction recovery boards as well. I’ll post a picture of those tomorrow.

Went a little different direction than the black wheel trend. Original 20” wheels powdered coated white. Also, added the black and silver 4 Wheel Drive emblem, door sill protection plates, silicone skin over the console with storage bins on each side, full length silicone storage bin on the passenger side dash, hood lift struts and offroam phone holder base with 67 Designs phone holder attached.
Edit: Just so you don’t think I’m completely crazy. My white wheels are a toast to the past when 40 series Land Cruisers had white wheels from the factory. See attached.

Removed the First Edition roof rack that came with my 1958 and installed a set of OEM roof rails, which I got from another owner without any mounting hardware. It was a bit of a process to figure out all the correct bolts and bits needed, but in the end everything came together well. I had ordered, and subsequently cancelled, a Prinsu Pro full length rack as we likely wouldn't utilize the added functionality of that kind of rack. I like the more conventional setup of roof rails with my Thule cross bars and Vector M cargo box (with all our family's travel stickers).

And I switched to the Toyo Open Country AT III (C) 285/70/17. Not sure about them but will consider more in the coming days, and if not, will switch back to the Falken Wildpeaks (SL).

Looking forward to getting my CBI step sliders in a few weeks...

FYI those wheels were always a light gray from the factory.

Lots of people paint them to match the roof (Cygnus white) though.

I just sold my originals due to no Offroad tires being made for that 15x5.5” wheel anymore and got repos in 16x6”.
