Bought the Westcott kit the day i bought my LC in December, but just installed it this weekend.

started with the fronts, and it took me about 90 minutes to do the driver's side, and only 30 minutes to install the passenger side. lessons learned! lol

Was starting to get late so i called it a night and planned to install the rear spacers today.

As i went out to start phase 2, I have to say, the LC looked fine with the just front done. Wondering if anyone else had a similar experience or thoughts?

anyway, put the rear spacers on too because we do tow and wanted the extra lift, took a out 3o minutes per side. Looks fantastic, still rides great, i don't really notice much difference in ride firmness.

I plan to keep these Falken Tires on, no need to go larger yet, they look wonderful and ride nice.

just needs an alignment and we're good to go. 1300 miles so far, and still in LOVE!

What did you accomplish?
Body lift?
How much F&R to start. inches from ground.
Where did you end up? inches from ground.
Is the rake still rear to front?
Thx.

Looks good. Wish I had the tools to do it myself. Sounds like you were able to do it pretty quick.

i didn't take before measurements

after from the ground to the fender at the middle of the wheel
F-37.75" (~ same side to side), R-38.25" (same both sides)

(y) still a slight rake
(y)a little more ground clearance up front
(y)slight better approach and departure angles all around

someday I may do a full suspension lift on this vehicle, but i'm holding off until the OME offerings become available... thinking BP-51

What low point did you use to measure the front ground clearance? Approach and departure angle I understand, but having trouble understanding how you’d increase ground clearance with a body lift. Only larger tires increase ground clearance.

The preload lift on the front is raising the low point under the front diff/skid plate between the control arms a little bit.

do people think the westcott kit is body lift?

Yes, they lift the body. They increase preload on the spring making them stiff in effect. They seem like a great simple approach for those who want to get a bit more body lift but won’t give you ground clearance without also adding larger tires.

not trying to argue here, but the front lift is increasing ground clearance. if yours is not lifted, measure the height to the skid plate under the middle front. i'm sitting at 11.5" here. sorry this is a horribly blurry photo, i don't have 3 hands! lol but on a stock LC, this is closer to 10" i believe, may even be less

I 100% agree, at the underside of rear axle, i have gained zero ground clearance, but all round, the frame rails, steps, bumpers, skid plates are all now further from the ground

my guess is the preload collar changes the spring from like 600lb to a 700lb spring rate. stiffer, yes. Lifted yes.
