๐Ÿ‘‹ Welcome to the new Land Cruiser Forum - Please post an introduction thread!

I stepped up to a 2024 Land Cruiser 1958 from a 2015 4Runner Trail model, which I put 150,000 miles on, so it was just getting broken in. I have been driving a succession of 4wd vehicles of various sorts since 1972 (ok, 1967 if I count my Army service). I have owned 2 IHS Scout II's, a Jeep diesel Cherokee, 2 Ford Explorers (when they were built on truck chassis), an F150, the 4Runner, and now the LC. Just got the LC about 3 weeks ago. Possibly with the exception of the F150, the LC is the most sophisticated off-road vehicle I have owned. I am looking forward to running the LC through its off-road paces. The LC came with "street" tires, and the dealer could not swap them, so when it comes time to replace them, I will get mud and snow tires of some sort. Looking for suggestions.

I intentionally got the 1958 LC because I have never had a vehicle with a "moon roof" that did not leak, so anything with that was out. I also did not want another vehicle with power seats. Once I get the seats set, I rarely change them. I also have had it with white or black vehicles, since white shows every spec of dirt and black is hotter than blazes in the NC sun and also shows dirt. My LC is the grey color (Meteor Shower") - who comes up with these names, anyway?

BTW, my other off-road vehicle is a 2004 Aviat A1-B Husky (bush plane), which can go many places no ground vehicle can go! And needs very little runway..

The Husky is a really cool bird. If I didnโ€™t have two dogs it would probably be my pick!

Nice story! Welcome to LC gang ;)
If you want to add some mods to yours, check out all my post about mods I did. Hope they are helpful for you
Love the front bumper setup you have, that looks as clean as a factory install!

Lots of great info on the forum... though it may end up causing spontaneous upgrades!

New member from Canada. Ordered my LC one year before it was delivered. Loving the Land Cruiser Limited package in Underground (with a few minor annoyances). Traded in my Chevy Camaro on the LC and don't miss the car at all.

While learning features and options on the LC, this forum has been the top Google hit for almost every search. Great resource and hopefully I can contribute to the knowledge base.

We also drive a Toyota FJ Cruiser, so the LC has a companion in the garage.

Mods so far (and pending)
- premium horn. Horn Upgrade
- cool box tray - 3d printed Updated LC cool box tray with liner
- front grill vinyl overlay decals (from FJ forum)https://www.fjcruiserforums.com/threads/fj-grille-vinyl-letter-overlay.753550/
This is a DIY project with a CRICUT machine. Took a little tweak to make it just right
- RAV4 Volume knob! Itโ€™s a little thing but itโ€™s worth it. ๐Ÿ› ๏ธ Member Build - Eod Guy's Ride

On the todo list:
- bigger tires (I'll likely run the stock tires for a year or two)
- resonator delete. The Tacoma has an off road pipe that replaces the resonator. It is about $100 or so online and thinking that might be an option on the LC as well.
2024+ Tacoma Off-Road Trail Pipe โ€“ At The Helm Fabrication
- full PPF Xpel wrap in satin. This was my initial plan when I got the LC. But when I picked up the truck at the dealer I really liked the colour, so I went with a Graphene coating to preserve the colour and protect the finish. I may still do the PPF in a couple of years. This is what the PPF shop showed me as an example of the satin wrap.

Welcome to the Jungle!

New owner of 2025 Land cruiser.
Also own a 2017 Tacoma off-road and a 91 MR2 turbo.
Like to fish in and around where I live.

First order of business with the new car, the 12.3 lcd dashboard has way too many options. I would love to see how others have configured theirs. I'm looking of idea and inspiration.
*The 2017 had enough options so I could see what I wanted, but not so many as to get lost.

Cheers,
Chris

Evening LC Forum,
Longtime Toyota owner first time LC with a 1958 inbound soon here in the deep South. Big angler/hunter and also Jeep guy with a family heirloom 83 CJ7 in the drive. House full of teenage boys and they are already fighting over who will get the LC as their rig one day. Excited to learn from all of the knowledgeable folks here, especially with regards to tire upgrades/racks/steps etc. Anyone with tips/tricks on adding roof rails/cross bars to a 1958, I am all ears. Thanks.

Hi all! I am from the DFW area. Waiting on delivery of my LC towards the end of February (fingers crossed). Current owner of a 2021 Rav4 Prime XSE. Doing my research now so I can get the LC set up asap after delivery so it'll be capable for offroading and for road trips to national parks. Looking forward to sharing ideas and perspectives.

Welcome! Just had mine arrive yesterday but I spent a few weeks learning on here. Reach out if you have any questions!

Hi

Just joined. I have a 2025 LC250 1958 Meteor Shower. Interests right now are getting set-up for getting my LC250 set-up for overlanding. I have previously owned a Hilux (South Africa), Landcruiser FJ60 (1984), 80 series, 100 series, 200 series, Hilux AdvX (UAE) and now the LC250.

I grew up in Africa, where I had a lot of exposure to offroad and overlanding although not nearly with the gear you can get today.

Looking forward to meeting people on this forum.

We are based in the PNW on Bainbridge Island.

Hello-

New to the forum-purchased a LC 250 FE in June. So far has exceeded expectations. Stock suspension quite robust. Has done well on PNW forest service roads/trails. . Changed out tires for Toyo AT III and have been happy with them. Mileage only dinged slightly. Great on ice and deep snow. Better on the highway than expected. Overall super happy with it. Thrilled to find the forum to bounce things off folks with loads of experience.

Thank you for the warm welcome!

I am a retired Construction/Heavy Highway Engineer living out my Golden Years in Idaho with my wife of 31 years. My hobbies include hunting (large and small game), fly fishing, fly tying, camping, traveling and exploring the backcountry of Idaho in my side by side.

Our 2025 Land Cruiser 250 is currently in the โ€œbuild stageโ€. This new LC is for my wife and is the sixth Toyota we have purchased over the years. Her previous Toyotas were a 2008 FJ Cruiser and most recently a 2021 4Runner Pro which we sold in 2023 due to cancer surgery making it impossible for my wife to lift her affected leg high enough to get into the drivers seat. We purchased a lower access car to accommodate her disability.

Long story short, she rehabilitated her leg and now wants to return to her beloved Toyota off-road platform. The new LC 250 caught her eye and we ordered the one she wanted and are now anxiously awaiting delivery.

Looking forward to being part of the Land Cruiser family!

Hey yโ€™all- picking up my LC premium tomorrow from Toyota of Ft Wayne. Relocated to Indiana from ETX last year (hence the username). Iโ€™ve had several 4Runners since my first in โ€˜00. Strayed to Lexus and Jeep a couple of times, went through a HP and performance phase a couple of years ago with a GT500 and a TRX (still have both) then lost my mind and bought a BMW. Happy to be back in my beloved brick shaped Toyota. This forum really helped me nail down exterior color and options when I was deciding between the LC 250 and the GX.
