Just a general PSA...

I ordered rock rails from Sparksparts.com and the box came pretty damage which is understandable since they're heavy. It seems one of the included hardware kits was lost in transit. Sparksparts has been extremely slow to respond and remedy the situation. The latest email they sent was to inform me of the hardware kit PN that they could order and charge my card for... not the solution I was looking for. I'll keep pushing them to send the kit free of charge but we'll see...

My question would be, who files a claim with the carrier, Sparksparts, or you? As I recall, it would be the shipper. So, Sparksparts seems to be passing the buck.

That was my thought and has been my experience. Typically, UPS or FedEx tells you to reach out to the shipper.

That's really poor customer service - if they packaged it badly enough that parts were lost then they should replace them at their cost, then work with the shipper themselves to get reimbursed.

Oddly enough I just received a phone call and they stated they would ship out the hardware kit once they had it (its on back order and anticpated to be in in a few days). Three weeks and 15+ emails later it seems they will end up taking care of this.
