Anyone considering these? I had the original Grapplers on my 4Runner and overall I was happy with their performance, especially since it saw mostly on road use. It looks like they will be offering an SL version of the 275/70R18 116T and should be 3-Peak rated. I am in Colorado so having a little extra grip in the snow is always nice.

Unfortunately it may be closer to the end of the year before they are released.

Yes. . Just found out about them and really considering it in the SL 275/70/18 size. I figured this was the largest tire size I can go without needing a lift/level to make it look unstuffed

Would SL rating for the Nitto Terra Grappler G3 be adequate for the LC due to its 6800 lb weight? Thinking of pulling trigger on an SL, but wanna make sure peace of mind while off road (10-20% --nothing too crazy)

I'm looking at SL. I read somewhere on this site that SL is more than sufficient for the LC. Just trying to decide between 265's and 275's now.

Thanks LC250CO14-- this is helpful encouragement as I'm on the bubble given the weight of the LC.

On my LC, currently running 275s e rated (won't name brand to avoid &^%* storm). Aesthetically, they look great, but above 56lbs, I'm taking an mpg hit around town. Still in the 30-day return, so probably going to swap for G3s 275s SLs which btw became available this week at Discount Tire. At 46lbs, they're not too much heavier than oem 265 Michelin LTs.

On my Tacoma, love my C rated 285/17 KO2s which imo offer peace of mind-no issues with just over 50K and pretty much have gone everywhere. Unfortunately though not very many options in C rated for 275s... I think e rated after driving on them for about 3 weeks are a bit overkill for mid-size trucks/suv s and definitely change the ride to feel a bit stiff/harsher even aired down to 33 psi.

Posted on Driveline website, seems like Nitto SL sidewalls will be stronger than previous gens: "No matter which side you choose, youโ€™ll be ready for the trail as the G3 gets an even stronger sidewall design, boasting the most puncture resistance ever offered in the Terra Grappler." All-Terrain Evolution: Nitto Tire's New Terra Grappler G3

Anyway, thanks again for your reply and making us aware of the new G3 release--very helpful!
