Nitto Terra Grappler G3

Mounted the 285/60 20 on the stock wheels but pulling them off in favor of the 275/65. The 285 did rub on the skid with 1” lift and stock offset. Adding 275/6 with 1” wheel spacers tomorrow. Will decide on new wheels after that. Thinking the +18 may poke a bit too much. Don’t love the 20” but I think the 275/60 should be perfect.

I'd love to go 285, but I do think the 275/60 would be a better size for these, unless you're doing a lift. The 275/70/18's fit the wheel well perfectly on mine

I’ve had the grapplers on for about 200 miles now. They’ve been great, certainly more road noise, but with the lift and larger width/profile not really an issue. They handle great, have been solid in the snow. I like them better than the K03’s and Wranglers I’ve had on other cars.

I was running the G3's at 40PSI. Had been averaging around 20.9mpg with the stock Michelins, which I switched out to the 275/70/R18 G3's. Mpgs dropped down to 18.9. Didn't love the numbers, but felt the tire was a much better fit for the vehicle. Dropped down to 35PSI last week. Now averaging 21.9mpg. Great tire on and off road, in my opinion. May experiment at 33 in the future, which is where I was running the Michelins, but for now 35 feels like where these tires want to be and seeing an actual slight uptick in economy (which doesn't make sense to me, since I thought the higher tire pressure would actually result in better economy) makes these a winner in my book. Much better look for the truck, too.
That surprised the hell out of me.

Its ultimately settled in at around 19.5 on average. Really depends on what type of driving I’m doing that week. You do lose some efficiency, but that was expected
Thanks for the report. I am sitting between these and the Toyo OC AT3 EV in 275/70/18. Just trying to make up my damn mind.

I don't think you'll go wrong with either. Both have great reputations. I mostly liked the look of the Nitto's better, but you'll be good whichever way you go. I've found the highway ride with the Nittos to be good, which was important. Only taken them off-road once, but they performed very well. Heading out again in a week for another run.

Anyone considering these? I had the original Grapplers on my 4Runner and overall I was happy with their performance, especially since it saw mostly on road use. It looks like they will be offering an SL version of the 275/70R18 116T and should be 3-Peak rated. I am in Colorado so having a little extra grip in the snow is always nice.

Unfortunately it may be closer to the end of the year before they are released.

Got the Nitto's after taking delivery of my 2025 LC250 / 1958 and posted a set of before/after pics here if it helps:

I got my Nitto Terra Grappler G3 in 275/70r18 installed yesterday including the spare. Overall very happy and it still drives like stock.
