Nitto Terra Grappler G3

Picking up the 275/70/18 G3's tomorrow. Selling five of the stock Michelin 265 LTX's for $400 if anyone wants to pick up in Newport Beach. I actually liked the ride with the Michelins quite a bit. Just not sure about them for some of the trails I'd do. Screaming deal for someone. 5300 miles on them.

Can anyone share impressions from driving Terra Grappler G3s (especially in SL rating) offroad? I'm not looking to do extremely difficult trails, but some of our roads to trailheads here in Colorado are quite Rocky and I'm worried about punctures. And has anyone driven these tires in the snow yet?
I'll be able to provide some feedback next week. Doing a couple of easy trails just to get a feel for them.

I replaced the stock tires with these back in October. Since then I have done a mix of street, highway, rain, snow and light off-roading (gravel/dirt). I have been very pleased with their performance in all of those environments. The tires are not any noisier than the stock tires; I may have lost 1 or 2 mpg but it is hard to tell. I am very pleased with them and would buy them again.

Here is a picture that show Terra G3 vs OEM

Thank you! Looking forward to hearing about your experience on them.
Went with the 275/70/R18s. On road, they're a little more rigid than the Michelins, but for me that's a positive. I found the Michelins a little floaty. Ride on the highway is nice with no noticeable increase in noise. Probably losing 1.5-2.0mpg, but too new to really tell.

Off road, they do feel more sure footed than the Michelins. More than anything, just want the peace of mind of knowing that the sidewalls are more robust than the Michelins. Still SL rated, so pretty close to an OEM tire, but my sense is that these are perfect for what I do. Size feels perfect for the truck (I'm not adding any lift). Fills the wheel well better and a nice looking tire for the truck!

I apologize if this has been answered already, but what is the recommended tire pressure for the 275/70R18 116T? I just had them put on and they set them at 40. Just wanted to be sure. Thanks in advance.

Haven’t been able to get a definitive answer myself. They set mine at 40 as well. When I asked the opinion of the guy who ran the shop, he felt that since they were pretty close to the OEM tire, he’d be inclined to go with the recommendation on the door, which is 33. I’m still running at 40, but I’m going to move down to 35 this week to see how that feels. My sense is that 40 feels a little high to me.

My 275 Toyo's feel great at 35.

I recently purchased the 275 Grapplers in SL. They are comfortable on the road but also much better than the OEMs on icey dirt. I got about 20mpg doing a quick jaunt into the mountains (photos below). Average MPG around town is 21mpg, probably down from 22-22.5 of the OEMs.

We recently got snow in CO and I was blown away with the performance of the LC with these tires. They were not far off the grip of the dedicated Michelin X-Ice Snow tires on our Subaru.

I have Grapplers being put on right now, along with a lift, suspension, and new rims. Will post a photo when complete later this week.

Update: I called Nitto regarding the recommended tire pressure for the Nitto Terra Grappler G3. They said that 33 PSI is the proper recommended pressure for both 265/70/R18 116T and 275/70/R18 116T for the '24/'25 LC.

If you want to check yourself, 888-529-8200.

I was running the G3's at 40PSI. Had been averaging around 20.9mpg with the stock Michelins, which I switched out to the 275/70/R18 G3's. Mpgs dropped down to 18.9. Didn't love the numbers, but felt the tire was a much better fit for the vehicle. Dropped down to 35PSI last week. Now averaging 21.9mpg. Great tire on and off road, in my opinion. May experiment at 33 in the future, which is where I was running the Michelins, but for now 35 feels like where these tires want to be and seeing an actual slight uptick in economy (which doesn't make sense to me, since I thought the higher tire pressure would actually result in better economy) makes these a winner in my book. Much better look for the truck, too.

If you are running SL load tires in 275/70R18 then yes, the p.s.i. is 33 for that tire. E load in 275/70 the recommended p.s.i. is 42.

I also plan on going with the 275/70R18 116T. I am a novice here, so can someone assist me with getting the correct offset wheels? I'm looking at the Method 318 wheels in gloss black. What would be the appropriate offset for these tires? Not going to be doing any major off-roading, but I will be occasionally driving up the mountain in snow/ice to ski/snowboard.

Great look with those Methods. Almost went in that direction, but stayed with the stock wheels. You'll love that setup. Think the Method 703's are a really nice look for these trucks too
