New from UK

If Toyota UK is to be believed they delivered 145k units in the UK in 2023 - if that’s right 250-300 LCFEs ( cant many more surely) is a very small number of vehicles for Toyota and surely they ought to be able to PDI them at the factory and deliver them to the dealers pretty much across the same week to 2 weeks ?

If that’s right then we all should be getting our FEs around the same time which seems to be in mid to late October

Are we actually customers?
Good evening all I’m feeling quite ashamed having just watched the news with Israel and Iran getting involved and I’m fretting over a car it brings it all home there’s a guy on the news just lost his whole family.

What are Toyota playing at!
My dealer has just confirmed arrival of mine on 9th Oct and given me some registration numbers to select from, so I am hoping I don’t have the same issue.
Surely Toyota UK know if it’s left Derby for the dealer. The only thing that comes to mind is maybe a pdi issue that they need a part to replace. But, wouldn’t they tell you that?
The car where ever it is is now registered in my name and the V5 will be here before the car gets here

Dave, your service-plan will have expired by the time it arrives!!! 😂

My dealer said that they would register it the day before I pick it up, which could be up to a week after delivery to them. I would also need to pay the day before I pick it up, which all makes sense. Well, apart from the ‘up to 7 days’ sitting with them playing with my new toy!

Reading between the lines I can see us all getting our cars on the same day ??

I was offered all the available options at time of ordering in June, see below. I looked into the dashcam that Toyota offers but it doesn’t seem a very good one to me, unless someone can tell me otherwise. I think that it’s the Nextbase 380GWX.
Other than those, I was offered the following the other day by my dealer:

Hood Deflector @ £97.18
Rubber Mats (front & middle) @ £79.94
Rubber mats (3rd row) @ £63.47
Trunk Liner @ £68.16
Lower Trunk Garnish @ £151.19

07/10…but I’m on the fence

Let’s see!
You’ll currently beat my eta to dealer by 2 days then! Although my dealer says that they want up to a week after delivery before handover which seems excessive.

That’s exactly what I budgeted £70k thought it can’t possibly be more!! The 1958 is only around £43k !! In the US

If it’s any consolation I think you will be impressed with quality long term. While materials are different, it approaches Lexus in terms of fit and finish. Very well put together and zero rattles of squeaks even on a rough road. Much better build quality so far than my Defender experience.

So those of you more in the know what do you think I need if I will have the 3rd row seats flat and a dog box in the back behind second row

Front and 2 nds row mats obviously - then is it a set or 3 rd row and the trunk liner or does the trunk liner go all the way from the back of the second row seats like we see in the US where they on,y have 2 rows and that massive battery ?
