Land Cruiser Trim headlight swap to First Edition Lights

Agree, I personally don't think the round headlights are bad at all, but again as with every choice, it is a personal preference.

I just came across the Toyota Japan accessories catalog -- I'd noticed previously that none of the trims there come with the round lights. But in the accessories catalog, they are an accessory you can buy for any of them. That says to me Toyota intends them to be easily swapped out. I'll attach the full Google translated catalog if I can.

Any updates on the swap?
I bought the round headlights and scheduled an appointment with the dealer but decided to swap the LC trim for the FE instead. So now I have a pair of brand new (never used) round headlights that I'm going to post for sale. Apparently I have the only driver's side headlamp in America right now as they're on backorder and aren't expected to be in stock for a few months. I have no interest in making money, just recouping what I paid. Also, someone gave the the instructions from the manufacturer and the swap appears pretty straight forward.

Well if there's anyone within a days drive of Western Colorado with the round headlights that would like the rectangular ones, I'll make the drive to do a swap.

I'll be making a LC purchase soon, I really wanted the round headlights, but not willing to pay the FE price. If anyone in the Houston area is interested in swapping LMK.

Thank you for sharing that catalogue. So many cool accessories I would love to have.

Brilliant selection - we need to find an importer into the UK of that gear - could definitely be tempted by some of those items

I did an inquiry through my wholesale parts and I think they are roughly $1429 per headlight! I remember when I did a TRD pro headlight retro fit on 4Runner it was around that price for both!

How much did you pay for them? I might be interested.

If anyone with round lights in the Boulder County, CO area wants to compare, I have an LC LC and am considering the swap... Let me know!

I paid $3,100 but willing to consider a reasonable offer.
You may want to keep those headlights, as you cannot replace the bulbs and either the Land Cruiser headlights, or the First Edition and 1958 headlights. You have to replace the entire structure.

if anybody has the rectangle take-offs they want to sell I will gladly take them off your hands. Im in the grateful minority that likes the rectangle far better. Something about the front proportions that is off with the round to my eye. Ill save the takeoffs for down the road when I need a replacement.
