Not that I’m aware of, but it isn’t active if there’s not a phone on it. If you really wanted to disable it, you can unclip the harness to it. It only takes a few minutes to disassemble the center console to get to itCan you turn off the wireless charging pad via settings? Sometimes handy to eliminate any concerns if you aren’t going to utilize it anyway.
The sunglasses holder is in the rear cargo. They have 4 cylindrical compartments (aka cup holders) You can easily store 4-6 sunglasses back there.Does anyone know where the sunglasses holder is in the new LC? I have read in several places that there is one. This is a feature I love and would miss it if there isn’t one. Also, it appears as though there is no longer the double sun visor in the LC. I loved that about my 1999 Land Cruiser. Looking forward to hearing your replies. Thanks!! Dr. M
It’s always on. There is not a way to turn it off or disable it in the software.I looked in the owners book, looks like the Qi charger is always on if the acc/run is on. May be a way to go in and disable it via software, but I can't explore that till mine arrives. I don't know if I will disconnect/software turn off or install a switch to disconnect power. It will depend on ease of use/connectivity vs storage area.
That's what I was gathering........ Should be easy enough to install a switch to kill the power to it. below is the Qi switch in the Tacoma. It’s always on. There is not a way to turn it off or disable it in the software.
I’ve been using these in my LC and my Cayman and they work perfectlyThe problem I ran into is that the visors on the LC are kinda thick. I bought a set of sunglass holders off of Amazon and had to return them because the holding clip opening was too small to clip on the visor adequately. Seems most of these clips are made for “thin” visors.
I’m still looking.
Hey so I was reading the spec sheet on the LC i have coming in… in the official description it says “Overhead console with LED illumination and LED maplights, sunglasses storage, and Safety Connect® controls”Does anyone know where the sunglasses holder is in the new LC? Where do you find sunglasses for those big eyes of yours? And how do you keep them on with no ears? So IS there a sunglasses holder in the overhead console area?
Can you keep us apprised of response from Toyota PR? Be interested to know if they do respond, and what the response is. It may just be part of Toyota getting piggies to market... Still waiting on my LC premium in Heritage blue. Reportedly on the vessel headed to Portland I guess.Weird omission. I passed the error along to Toyota PR. Hopefully they can get that corrected.
Exactly what baseball caps were made for. A handy shelf.I'm pretty sure the sunglass holder is the driver's head.
