Horn Upgrade

I had a RAV4 as a loaner sled when I took my LC in for service. I tried the horn on it. Be thankful for the horn we have on the LC's....

This was the most popular aftermarket horn upgrade out there for motorcycles at one time. It requires the use of a relay, to signal for a higher current for the little compressor. Guys on bikes loved honking it at people with their fresh Starbucks Latte, not paying attention to surrounding traffic, and seeing them spill it all over themselves in their car.🤣🤣🤣

I'd love to have it to use for the guys on bikes taking up the slow and fast lanes while riding at or below the speed limit!

I received and installed the "Premium Horn 08522-B1010 KIT" this afternoon. It’s probably a 15 minute swap. I think I spent more time with the plastic cover then I did on the horns themselves. It sounds great now, like it should.
I want my horn to sound like this.

Awesome - thank you, @Nor Cal Cruiser - I'll give them a whirl.
Gave it a whirl - easy upgrade, sounds much better.

I loosened the cable (unscrewed, unclipped, and then put the screw back in) so could mount the driver-side horn (right, as facing the engine) without changing its original direction. Took an extra two minutes, but thought it was worth it.

Thanks again for the tip, @Nor Cal Cruiser!

I was looking for a loud air horn. I purchased one and will install it with a switch to select between the normal horn and the air horn.

Thanks for the link!

The Toyota "Premium Horn" suggested here is excellent. I was impressed as it is much louder than stock. Noticed it gets peoples attention much better...... easy mod. Thanks for the suggestion!

I installed the Hella horns. Rather than unclip the wiring on the driver side to get it to fit, I just loosened the mounting tab on the horn, rotated the horn, and retightened it in a way that the horn's female wiring plug faces the center of the car.

Yes, now the passenger side horn aims down and the driver side aims up, but so what.

The premium horns were my 1st or 2nd mod and I like them, however I want a super loud horn for when I get super agitated .............

Good solution, which I also tried and tried to love with. Only issue with that for OCD people like me is that you can see it through the grill and it's not symmetrical.

I just installed the premium horn package and I'm satisfied. My horn no longer sounds like an "Excuse me" or an apology every time I use. lol😆
