Heated seats have been working well for me for the past few weeks now that it's been reliably chilly every morning. (I have the softex trimmed seats)

Had mine at the dealer for another reason and had them check the seats because the seat heater is the weakest of any car I have owned. They just used a laser thermometer to test it and said specs say low should be about 65, medium 75 ish, and high is 85. I guess it is just designed to run at relatively low temps.
Took mine to the dealer and they said it’s fine 
but compared to my three other vehicles it’s literally the worse. You can barley feel it in highest setting. Pointless to me. And a disappointment.

I have seen a few reviewers now complain about the lack of warmth in the heated seats. Saw a suggestion this could be addressed via software at a later point by Toyota. Is that even possible?

not entirely sure.. i feel like the seating pads would have to be updated to handle any increase in current or such? I forgot all my physics shit from undergrad tho lol.

They are great trucks /suv. Toyota will resolve and always does whether you buy now or wait. I love our Premium LC 2024 and flawless. Remember people only come to forums to complain

Not really seat related, but heat related: does anyone else have cold spots on their heated steering wheel? I do at all the leather seams, and the 12 o'clock position is weak to nonexistent.
On a 2023 Lexus RX, the seat heater works very well. Three choices for temperature, and the highest heats the seat to be very warm. When left on for a while, the seat is so warm that the the seat heater setting needs to be reduced (depending on how cold the weather is). The other settings are lower, as expected, but still warm enough to feel easily.
On my LC-FE, the seat heat, even at the highest setting, is barely felt. It can be left on at the highest setting all of the time in cool/cold weather. The lower settings are never even used.
I usually have my LC-FE running in ECO drive mode. I understand that this reduces the cabin heater performance, but not sure if it affects the amount of electrical current in the seat heating elements. I haven't checked yet in other drive modes. Does anyone have an opinion or experience on whether the ECO drive mode affects the seat heating?

For what it's worth, my LC LC Premium also seems to have weak heaters (and coolers). I can drive for an hour with the seat heat on max and they just feel warm (previous vehicles I would have to turn them down or off after 5-10 minutes).
On the cool setting, I think I can sort of notice a slight effect, but nothing that feels really cool. I've never had cooled seats before, so I have nothing to compare them to. Do other folks find that the cooled seats get really chilly?

Ventilated seats just ventilate ambient air that's in the cabin through your seat. If the A/C is on it will cool as the A/C ducts are under the seat. Turning on ventilated seats switch on does not turn on A/C.
Highest setting on my 1958 is too hot for me to use after initial warmup. Happy with the amount of heat they put off.
I wish my 58 were like that. From reading the many posts about this issue, it seems like an intermittent issue.

I live in FL. Recently the temp has been in the low 40's in the mornings. I have used the heated seats on all 3 heat settings along with the heated steering wheel. I have had no issues with anything with my 1958 Edition.
Mine is the same. And it is now cold here, -20C cold and the seat heater performance is excellent on my 1958.
My 1958 seat heaters warm up well, initially. They then seem to cool off or moderate themselves to be more of a lukewarm heat after awhile. They're fine by my standards but it is apparent that they back off the heat after they've reached a certain temp imo.
The heated steering wheel warms up ok. I wish it would get warmer faster and never reaches a very warm temp. Seems like it gets up to 85 or so and then stays there. It doesn't warm up as quickly as the heated seats.
For a frame of reference, my area has had mornings around 15F to 25F lately.

It seems that most of the recent comments from owners who are satisfied with the seat heat output are from owners of the 1958 Edition, which has cloth seats. (There is a comment from a 1958 owner who has very little heat, though.) And most of the commenters having poor seat heat output seem to have either Softex or perforated leather seats. There are a bunch of commenters who didn't mention which LC model they have, though.
Just trying to see if there is a discernible pattern to mention to Toyota or a dealer. Not there yet though. What is clear to me is that Toyota's seat heating implementation is a lot better on the RX than on the LC, at least when using the LC's ECO drive mode. And, this is possibly also true of the seat cooling, but I need to check that further.

LCLC Premium here. Seats don't get hot to ever turn down from setting 3. Driving in regular mode but when I drove in Eco there was no difference that I ever saw. My main complaint is the steering wheel which has spotty coverage (nothing at the seams and a cold spot at the 12 o'clock pos).

While the cooling is fair. Always in highest level and barely felt.
The wheel heater is just okay, but the top of the steering wheel is cold...
What I really hate is that there's no perforation in the lumbar zone (the most needed for cooling).
