Hearing a rattle noise at low gear acceleration.

took my LC in to toyota at 1000 miles for this same noise, they test drove it and drove a brand new one to compare they said noise similar, on inspection they found nothing wrong..... at least i know my new machine aint broke.
Thanks for reporting back. I am hoping the dealer doesn't tell me the same thing. I am willing to fix this myself, if I could find it. While I don't think it will affect anything internally, it is annoying. I honestly think it is a heat shield or some thing on the passenger side engine compartment by the firewall. I wish I could reproduce while on the ramps or on a lift. One of us will find it, and hopefully let everyone else know.
I have the LC250 LC trim and have the same rattle while cold.
It seems to be a drivetrain thing because the rattle is not present when revving in Neutral. Wondering if this is the case for everyone else.

Hi there, first time here. Do you feel a vibration? I took delivery of my 2.8 diesel 2 weeks ago, and have been having the same issue. At first I thought it might be ABS related, but the rpm go a little low while vibration happens. Did you figure this out? Thanks.
Update. Took the dealer this morning. Was able to reproduce the sound with the Tech in the car. We could not reproduce while in park or neutral only under load while driving. The best way to reproduce the sound without going up a hill, is to hold the break @1500 rpm while driving 10-15mph. This will keep the load constant and rattle is very noticeable. This is the exact sound. You can keep this sound constant by holding the break.
The tech is going file a report directly back to Toyota. He said they had a similar issue with the new Sequoia and it was fixed with a software update.
I also open a case with Toyota.
They said it’s not a big issue and to keep driving and wait to see what Toyota says.
I am hopeful for a fix from Toyota and not having the local dealer tear apart things until they find the issue.
I think we all know first year cars sometimes have issues. Let’s hope this addressed by Toyota and fixed.
I would encourage everyone to report this at their 5k service appointment or when they go to the dealer/shop. Unfortunately, large companies like Toyota don’t really take things seriously until enough people complain.
If this is the only major issue I encounter, I will be still happy with the LC. Everything else besides some really minor items is good IMO for a first year car.

Thanks for the update. I’ll log a case with Toyota and also have my dealership try to recreate when I bring in for my next service.
Send the video above to the service advisor before the appointment and try to record it yourself. IMO dealerships these days are very good at replacing parts, but not putting in the work to actually fix the root cause. The service departments at most dealerships are just profit centers to generate revenue. They have very little motivation to find and fix this issue unless they get an exact reason from Toyota. Since this issue is becoming more common Toyota should issue a TSB and the dealerships will charge the labor/parts back to Toyota. From the previous comments on this thread, dealerships will say that can’t reproduce the sound and can’t hear it or it’s normal. I would show the tech directly with you in the car when you drop the car off (request this before the appointment)

I have the same sound, something drivetrain related I'm guessing. As mentioned above, doesn't do it if revved in neutral, sounds smooth as silk with no load. Have an oil change appointment this Saturday, I will mention it.
Someone on this forum posted about using shell gas and the noise for that person completely went away. So nothing to lose I have tried that. So far two fuel ups with shell 93 and I must say the noise is no longer as pronounced. Now it sounds more like just a noisy engine rather then something totally abnormal or something is loose.
I use Shell Nitro 93 and have the rattle
Plot thickens... I have it too. Has anyone tried lubing those zerks yet in the drivetrain then testing? I might try it
