FE style roof rack VS Standard LC roof rails

Maybe a dumb question but does the FE style roof rack mount over the standard roof rails which are on the LC? And if so if I bought a LC that has the optional FE style roof rack and wanted to remove it would I be left with just the standard roof rails? Would they have holes and marks from where the FE style roof rack was mounted?

I found a LC premium with the optional FE style rack and I dont like that style. Wondering if I can just remove without much damage to what I assume are the standard roof rails.

I am fairly certain that they are different items. You can probably sell/trade the roof rack and get the rails.

From what I've found, Three types:
1 - None
2 - Rals & cross bars
3 - FE style cage type

All mount with the same hardware (sort of)
1 = bolts and blanking covers
2 = 1, 3 and 4 mounting points
3 = 2, 3 and 4 mounting points
