Has anyone figured out how to disable the auto start stop? I cannot find the typical button that has been in the rest of my vehicles and my auto start stop is beyond proactive!

I’m not sure if you can since it’s a hybrid. Try checking the settings in the radio.

It cannot be disabled. Also, if you’re doing it to cut down on wear and tear on the starter, don’t even bother because the engine isn’t using a conventional starter. The electric motor starts the engine. There is a back up starter, but it is only used in an emergency.

I knew the auto stop could not be turned off and was apprehensive about my test drive. I honestly could not tell it had shut off during take off from a stop. Have been in other vehicles where it is very noticeable. I was in a Jeep and wondered why the AC was blowing hot air at a stop, then realized the engine had shut off. I paid particular attention at stops and found no similar decrease in AC with the LC.

A/C is powered by the Hybrid system

It's frustrating that a Toyota Land Cruiser turns on and off so much. It loses the Land Cruiser essence. I am not happy with my purchase
You should have purchased the V6 Lexus. Avoiding not only the start/stop, but also the complexity of the hybrid system, is a rational choice.

I no longer notice the start/stop after 5000 miles

You should’ve done your research. The start stop on a hybrid vehicle is in integral to the system and you’re not gonna disable it. I believe that to be on most hybrid if not all hybrid vehicles, I could be wrong, but that is my understanding of how the system works.

If you put the LC in Sport mode it will turn off less often and hold shifts until higher rpm’s. Gas’s mileage will suffer but you may want to give it a try.

I am very impressed with this power train TBH.

You should sell it while it's a hot commodity, I'm sure there are many folks that would scoop it up.

Are you sure the Lexus does not employ Stop/Start, or just that it can be defeated?
