1958 folks.. regrets?

Would be great if that feature was on Canadian 1958's but alas, it is not equipped. I'd forego the heated windshield wiper de-icer and it's unique dashboard switch for heated mirrors any day of the week.
We had snow today. I had defrost on front and rear and the heated mirrors activated. Have you tried that again? I'm also not certain that they heat up when parked. It may be only when driving.

When did Toyota start adding heated side mirrors to 1958s? Can you share your build date?

I have a 1958 trim and I have no regrets. Whatever you decide be sure to do a thorough test drive.

Mine (purchased 5/31/24) does not have heated mirrors. In fact, I noticed that the manual says something to the effect of "when equipped" when referencing them. I had assumed it meant no heat for the 1958. Maybe some folks lucked out with later builds. My last car had them and it I do miss it.

No regrets. I do wish it had the following though which may overlap to other LC trim or not:

-Paint matched front bumper panel(the square one with the fog lights)
-Powered driver seat or at least lumbar support(that said the seat is very comfortable)
-option for larger entertainment screen w/360 camera
-option for SDM
-better tuned factory shocks(the ride quality is probably my biggest complaint on the LC… too rough on small bumps and too little low speed compression)
-wider factory wheels(7” width is a bit sad…)

Love everything else so far!

No regrets at all on the 1958. I only got this bc I loved the retro headlights. I do wish they offered few other color choices, like the underground gray.

1958 misses the mark IMO. For very little extra money you get a ton of useful features in the LCLC.

To my mind, the 1958 should have had the non hybrid powertrain, cost $5000 less, and have the disconnectable sway bar (or at least have the option of it).

Make it meaningfully cheaper, and make it simpler in a way that might actually help with long term reliability (or, failing that, makes it lighter and reduces the cost so they can create a meaningful price difference).

As the 1958 currently stands, doesn't make sense to me compared to a non premium LCLC

In my area the LCLC is a 10k difference, if you include tax it’s pushing towards 70k. Then at this point might as well get a base gx550.

The non-hybrid notion is interesting; I might be persuaded towards that if price is appropriately lowered. But I couldn’t care about the disconnectable sway bar.

Though the ‘58 was my first choice and ultimately my purchase, I was willing to buy an LCLC if I could find one without options. That was difficult during the summer. Most choices were priced about $10k higher (at least).

My sentiments exactly. The 1958 pricepoint is much more attractive than the LC trim. Does it have everything the LC trim has? No, but these vehicles aren’t exactly cheap to begin with 😅 and imho aren’t quite worth GX money.

I feel like a current "problem" is that 95% of LCLC's currently seem to come with the premium package-- which jacks the price, and doesn't come with a lot of valuable features (I actually think it's a downgrade, since it comes with a sunroof).

The price difference before options on the LCLC is $5000.

I would have refused to buy my LC WITHOUT the premium package. Different strokes!

True. And when I was looking, the few non-premium package vehicles were more loaded w distributor options.

No regrets. If I win lottery I might trade in for Bronco Raptor... just for the extreme fun factor even though it will blow the turbo's in 60k miles and end up in the shop every month like most Fords....
The Bronco raptor is in the same price range as LC now

No regrets at all. My last car had leather and power seats and I don’t really feel like I miss those things like I thought I might. I love the tech it does have, the capability, and the utilitarian feel to it. Superficially, I really like the round lights and the unpainted bumper panels.

I really like my 1958 but would like the option to add the following:
- larger entertainment screen w/360 camera
-option for SDM
-Heated mirrors

I was not interested in the leather, moonroof, etc. I also liked the black bumpers because I wont get rock chips. Plus for 53K with side bars, floor mats and a few other little things it was hard to pass up.

I have the same model/color. My tires are not so great though. These ones look really good that you installed!
Thank you! The BFG’s are doing well, and will do the job nicely. I didn’t really want to spend the money at first, but knew it was a matter of time. Buy once, cry once. These should last me a good while!
