I had a set of 17x8.5 -10 SCS F5 wheels with 265/70 Vredestein Pizza AT tires sitting around (meant for a 4runner build that never happened) so threw them on our new 1958 today. A little more poke than ideal but they look great and weigh about 10 lbs less each than the stock wheels & tires. The ride is noticeably better now with more sidewall and less unsprung weight.

They fit with plenty of clearance. There's still 5/8" between the caliper and the barrel at the closest point. At full steering lock there's still about 1" of clearance both directions even with the super low offset wheels. Obviously it will depend on the specific wheels & tires but I would think most 17s should fit no problem with similar sized tires on stock suspension.

The F5s really enhance the retro vibes of the 1958 unlike the terrible looking stock wheels it came with. It just needs some ~1.5" fender flares to be perfect.

Hopefully this is helpful to anyone else looking to fit 17s ๐ŸคŸ๐Ÿ˜

Thank you for posting! This is exactly what i've been looking for, was even considering these wheels before I decided to be boring and just get the Method 703's w/ +35 until something better comes out down the line.

What size tires do these measure out to? They look awfully large for what I would assume are about 32s? Cant find too much info on Vredestein tires.

Yeah the Methods will fit a little nicer for sure.

These Vredestein tires are around 31 3/4" tall so just a bit taller than the stock tires on the 1958. They probably just look big in the photo because they're 17s and have more sidewall.

They're great tires if you drive mainly on road but still want something capable off-road and also great in rain and snow. They're a European brand that only started being sold in North America a few years ago but are excellent tires. Vredestein does all their manufacturing in the Netherlands and are one of the oldest tire makers (~110 years), they're just a new brand over here.

FYI, TireRack carries that brand.

I love the SCS F5 wheels. I had a set on my 2010 4Runner build and they were great. I only wish they offered some more options with the offset. I don't want to poke out past the fenders on the LC. Also, I just moved to New Hampshire where you could fail a safety inspection for to much poke.

I'm also in NH! I only had the SCS f5 on for a test fit since I had them kicking around. I got some 17x8 +20 Bradley V wheels from Japan now which the SCS F5 are styled after. I had to bore out the lug holes on the 17" ones I got to fit the 14mm lugs on the LC. Apparently 4x4 engineering just released 18" Bradley V wheels in LC specific fitment. SCS may also come out with some to fit the LC I would expect.

I ordered the exact same wheels, but in the 18x8.5, +20 offset, so it was more so pics of this specific setup...

Any head on photos to show how much they poke out at +20?
Here's a couple better pics showing the slight poke with 17x8 +20 wheels and 285/70 tires.
