After reading some posts here about saying their MPG's got better after the 1K mark, I made a note to see if the LC behaves differently with regard to the hybrid behavior. I may be crazy, but I'm at 1,200 miles now and sure enough, it seems like the motor quits a lot more than before the 1K mark. My driving style and the weather has not really changed at all. I'm vaguely tracking my mpg's (using the dash tracker), so we'll see if it goes up now.

Am I imaging the hybrid behavior changed after 1K?

I noticed the same. No empirical evidence to support that claim, however my butt dyno is calibrated to 0.3% of tolerance.
