Interesting regarding washboard roads—and too bad. I agree the TRD Pro smoothed them out nicely so I’ll miss that too, at least for a few years until it’s time for shock replacement and upgrade.
I'm moving quick-release awnings that had tubular fittings for a 4Runner TRD Pro, and now will have two custom fabricated attachment points on each side. There's also a fly-rod holder on Quad quick-release mounts that moved right over, and I've still got to figure out the best places for a small...
There a definitely a few misses and unfortunately the FE roof rack might be one of them. There should be a few 12v cigarette lighter plugs (front seat, "trunk" area), and a 4Runner style power rear window would have been good improvements.
I’d be interested in trying the 10 pin, and also want to power a Uniden R7; is there a way to power both at the same time through the mirror connection?
Nice! Similar positive experience driving my LC on the beach in Florida. The full time 4WD worked better than 4WD on my previous 2022 4Runner TRD Pro. The LC stock Michelin Defenders at normal PSI worked a little bit but the new 275R70/18 KO3s (no lift, not aired down) made me wonder where...
Hope you get it soon. I'm also interested in mounting a Roam Box, some MaxTrax Minis and rotopax containers, so will look forward to seeing more solutions on this thread.
Nice set-up. Thanks. Now all we need is a nice functional (flat steps/rungs) folding ladder that won't eliminate access to the rear window. I wish they'd put a sliding rear window (a-la-4Runner) so a Wescott ladder would work. Hoping some after-market company will develop a good set-up soon.
Congratulations--now that you've had it for awhile how's it going? I also test drove and drove away in a black FE. Not unhappy at all, but sure do wish they had kept the 12-volt cigarette light sockets in the front and rear. I had built up a 2022 4Runner and have several 12-volt accessories...
Interesting thread. The AT3s look great. We don't have snow in Florida but do have lots of rain. And these vehicles are built to travel so mine will see snow before too long...The original Michelin Defenders were nice on the highway, but had to work in the sand. They also picked up and held onto...
