    Premium Fuel or not?

As the old saying goes..."An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure". I have always used premium in every automobile I own...there is an additive package in the Premium fuels that provides a cleaner burner, longer tank life and fuel injection component cleaning. I keep my vehicles for a...

Speaker on Cargo Door - seems the speaker grill is there for one but no sound from it?

Chancellor...Thanks for the explanation here. I have the 1958 model and have been inquiring about this speaker across multiple forums ....I believe your explanation is the best yet across many of these forums, so thank you again for you work here. Do you know if this speaker is active in the...

Wonderful engine just love this thing.

I agree with both posts above. I was a skeptic at first, but after several trips and all types of driving conditions, I have to say that this power train is very good. Not quite as smooth as the V8, but the fuel economy has me forgetting that...I'm now at 24 +/- mpg. The only unknown for me is...

    Activate 1958 Factory Subwoofer?

If this LC is anything like the 80 series(I still have one), the tail gate speaker is the sub-woofer. There are no other places for it. The 80 series had a small simple Sub woofer in the rear cargo area/3rd row passenger side... As for the noise cancelling feature...I seriously doubt the 1958...

    Activate 1958 Factory Subwoofer?

I think it would have to have something to do with the head unit in the 1958 version...don't think things would work properly unless there is an aftermarket add on to provide a crossover type filter for the sub-woofer to work. There is a thread on here about the Beatsonic amp that does help...

Who's getting a LC to complement or replace their FJ?

Traded the FJ for the 1958 version as a direct replacement. Purchased the 2007 FJ in late 2006 and held on to it until the trade...almost 18 years of New England weather and winters, 180k, two high school kids and college....it served all family members well and then came the dreaded frame rot...

    Round headlights after the FE?

I own the 1958 variant and have no complaints about the round headlights...they work just fine...different but fine. Perhaps folks were thinking that these headlights would be active, meaning they move with the steering, but they are not. I have that feature on other cars I own...and cringe at...

    Oil Filter Size

Agree on the super small size of the filter. You would think that there would be a taller variant for this engine....as there is room. With the 4 cylinder engine working harder than the V8 or V6, I think it would be advantageous to have more filter capacity ...so that the by pass would never be...
