I doubt the dealer is going to know anything. They’re just happy to make a sale. Talking about such technical detail maybe an engineer or experienced mechanic will give you some real insight. Change you’re oil regularly and you’ll be good no need to stress.
Has anyone jacked their LC 250 on jack stands yet? Where did you place the jack stands? Where did you place the floor jack (front and rear spots)?
I found this video of where to jack up the 4Runner. I imagine the LC250 is similar but looking to crowdsource some info on this forum.
The rear...
Just got back from the dealer. They didn't have any in stock but they gave me the part numbers.
Engine air filter: 17801-31180
Cabin air filter: 87139-30110
As mentioned the 10 and 20K are covered. Many times its easier for me to DIY instead of making an appointment during my work hours and taking time off. Also, I don't trust 10K intervals for a turbocharged engine. I don't do every oil change myself, just some of them.
Mine has failed to connect about 2-3 times and it was frustrating. Switched to the wire and it worked fine. Did a disconnect and reconnect of the blue teeth and it hasn’t given me an issue in a while.
Looking for the right tool to remove and reinstall my underbody cover “skid plate” easier for my next oil change. Would anyone recommend an electric ratchet or an impact driver? Is one better than the other for this type of job?
No luck searching other threads so figured I'd start a new one.
Has anyone changed their engine and cabin air filters? Which parts (brand/number) did you use?
I couldn't find anything on the Toyota parts website that was a confirmed fit. The wix website lists WA10807 (engine) and WP10322...
I use Turtle wax hybrid solutions car wash soap. It foams well in my foam cannon. My favorite spray wax at the moment is meguires quick wax, you spray and dry at the same time.
Polish is an abrasive used for paint correction which I doubt your LC needs at this point. I’ve done it on my other...
I did as soon as I got home. Just a pain in the ass since I spent a good amount of my Sunday evening washing and waxing by hand. Came off easily since the paint was slick from the wax.
Life does happen. I hand-washed and waxed mine yesterday after my road trip. Today - well a bird decided to take the biggest crap I've ever seen on the hood while I was at the driving range. Thats life!
Do you remember what brand of gas you used? I didn't think it mattered until I watched a video on the difference between Top Tier Gas and non Top Tier Gas.
I wasn't paying attention either way but wind direction could also play a factor in MPG. My car had the same luggage/weight the whole trip.
Do you take your LC to a car wash or do you wash it yourself by hand. Or do you have a professional wash it by hand? I've been washing it by hand. Brought back memories of being in high school and washing and waxing my first car (1998 BMW 318i) by hand. I feel like this is the first "cool"...
Just took my first road trip in my 1958 and I am really pleased with this vehicle. Super comfortable, plenty of power, lots of room, and impressive gas mileage. The image below is from the last leg of my road trip. I reset the trip odometer and mpg gauge at the same time immediately after I...
Thanks. I’m thinking of taking it off. Just got a car wash it still has a collection of dirt around the perimeter. I actually began to peel of a part of it because I thought it was protective film for factory and shipping and now it just looks bad.
