My only dashcam experience was what comes with all Teslas. I'm sure that system is the only reason that the other driver was assigned 100% in an accident. So lesson learned. What's a good quality installation look like in an LC? Just drop the wire to the right of the mirror? What views do I...
That attached ladder is for climbing onto the roof. Or for the look.
I won't buy the attached ladder, but I will eventually want to be on the roof with a camera on a tripod.
Really good to know. I'm glad I didn't buy. I'm sticking with 33" but I want as tall and wide as I can to stay within the stock spec. I don't want to give up the under vehicle spare storage.
I plan on only a shallow platform that raises the floor to match the fold seat height (1 1/2"?). It will not be full width, but allow both tie downs to be exposed. It can be moved side to side, and also removed completely.
A platform above all blocks access to the devices and compartments on...
Worst case for shorter people is an 8 foot telescoping ladder. Maybe with an improvised a pad to not mar the vehicle.
Also, see the threads on adding steps to your rock slider.
Receiver step isn't in a great location to get to a standard roof box.
Weathertech shades. Given the timing of this and the floor mats I think we have a weathertech exec with an LC

The port installed option are a joke. "Let's put $80 receiver balls on 600 vehicles!". Purchasing should not being trying to avoid the most worthless options.
In the midwest almost every vehicle comes with the 20" tire option. Apparently because no one in the midwest intends to air down.
I've made my purchase, but I had to pass on a dashcam optioned vehicle that was otherwise what I wanted at a good price. Had a long meeting with the mechanic who was not willing to move or remove the unit. It is beyond my comprehension how Toyota could make such a mistake.
My only...
I doubt a cop would read that strip as a light when passing head on. I didn't think it was a light without the closeup pic. But perhaps I'm being optimistic.
We now have seen some show vehicles with a front winch bumper. Anyone see a company offering on for sale? I would really like to keep the front camera.
I agree. So I now pay for the tire change and tire storage. The question is whether that service is worth $300/year. It's also a tire rotation that I don't pay extra for and actually gets done every six months. I tend to procrastinate on doing timely rotation.
20s are a good winter tire size...
Mnimum load, probably. With the exotic transmission/generator the engineers certainly didn't leave it belt driven for tradition. The drive train is a very cool design. Hope its trouble free
It's amusing how they mix rock crawling with overloading when there are products to sell. The stock LC tire and suspension is much closer to ideal for overlanding than a lift and 35"+ tires.
Also, do none of these people have a standard 7' garage opening?
I say this as a recovering equipment...
I my business I choose my prices. I don't expect any different from other business. These car dealers are not "crooked".
Buyers paying over MSRP in July of 2024 are either ignorant or too busy to shop around.
I agree about the nice bed, but I do landscape photography. The best way to be well off the beaten path at dusk and dawn is to stay on location.
Car camping can be very comfortable, as many people here know. I plan to remove the larger seat section and make a flat floor.
Not sure what you mean. The engine has a large alternator, which can charge the hybrid battery. We know the alternator is large due to the inverter spec as well as the heat warnings in the manual. Doing the wattage spec'd is non-trivial and a premium feature.
Have you looked into the free offroad course? Or did I imagine that Toyota had that offer?
The vast majority of offroad is fine on 2H (if the vehicle had that). For me the challenge to learn/judge is how much momentum to carry when entering a hazard. People who grew up in snow areas probably...
3D printer step #1 is to assure your spouse that you will be savings lots of money making stuff. Step #2 is to only gift 3D printed star wars memorabilia to any family or friends who make fun of your 3D printer interest.
I use a 3000W Yamaha generator to power a sub panel in my house. The LC will likely work fine, depending on how it handles motor starts on the house refrigerators.
